Myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel was spotless , bedrooms were bright and I couldn’t fault them. The bed was so comfortable which is very important to me. Jemma and Joe and their young family were very welcoming to us and I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.

Location was excellent, only a short walk straight into the village. Richard was a fantastic host, opening up his family home to us. It’s not your usual guest house but well worth the visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone coming to the area.

Easy check in - keys in lockbox Everything you could need or think of for a stay was included at the cottage. We don't have young kids, but lots of baby equipment. Very close to Dogs Bay. Great location. Secluded, peaceful and private. Kitchen was equiped with everything you could need, including condiments. Master bed was very comfortable. Bonus it's dog friendly.

Just imagine, you are waking up in the morning, not because your alarm has gone off but with the chirping of birds at your windowsill. You ar opening yout curtains and your eyes meets with the beutifull scene of an ocean. This what this hotel is about. Clean & quiet place for a getaway from city and the best point of all. It is a pet friendly hotel. We stayed there from 30th of April till 2nd of May. Great and tasty food. We have recommended this place to all our family members and friends.

A grand old 19th century house, full of unusual furniture and artifacts and steeped in the family history of the host, Richard, Duc de Stacpoole. Ten minutes walk into Roundstone, the nearest village, where you will find bars, restaurants and a general store and a 20 minute drive to nearest town Clifden. Also easy access to all corners of the beautiful Connemara countryside.

The cottage had everything we needed as a family. It was very clean and lots of space to put clothes and toys. The quiet during the day and night was completely wonderful. Nice to go for a walk nearby. At night you can sometimes hear voices drifting across the water from Roundstone village. Absolutely stunning beaches, bog and mountain walks nearby. Loved morning swims. It's a local road so go slowly driving up as you may have to reverse on some narrow bits.
