We had a great time here. We were looking for a place for the 5 of us to stay for two weeks over Christmas and this was perfect. Mary & Bridie could not have been nicer, the house was so warm and cosy. They had a fire lit for us every morning we got up! The rooms were perfectly clean and spotless as everything is brand new. Beds were very comfortable with lovely warm duvets. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful location, lovely walks. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The local link bus is great for getting into Cavan town, we got it outside the hotel reception although a taxi is not expensive ( €12 for 4 of us ) if you dont want to wait on the bus. The host Sean couldn't be more helpful and was available if we had any issues, he even text after we had checked out to ask how we had enjoyed our stay. The house was spotless and very spacious and had everything you could have want to make your stay perfect. I will certainly be back again soon . Thanks a million for making our stay so enjoyable

On first impression you would think a 2 star would be sub standard parts of it is just the decor & well worn setting in the front bar however the rooms are of a 4 star quality ( brand new refurbished) there is alot to aesthetically but the welcome we recieved was second to none nothing was a problem . The beds are super comfortable along with an excellent shower & complimentary toiletries/ tea coffee . The food was great value for money and the burgers delicious, staff although all young had excellent customer service skills . We had to leave early and the chef came in 1hr earlier to ensure we had a breakfast, and gave us fresh fruit salad and homemade scones to go . Thanks to Pat for opening up the dining room earlier . We will definitely return .

The Hideaway is simply gorgeous. So warm and cosy but really modern without ruining the country cottage style. The host was amazing. Loads of information before we stayed. Simple check-in and check-out. We had bread, milk,cakes and biscuits waiting for us. Also, we left something small but important in the apartment and the host sent it down to us straightaway. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We went for the bank holiday weekend to disconnect from a busy city and it was so worth it! The place is lovely, quiet, charming. The house is huge, clean, beds are very comfortable with new mattresses, the house was warm and it had lots of facilities. It´s a lovely place if you want to disconnect from busy cities and connect with nature and have some quiet and peaceful time. The hosts were lovely and always available. We will definitely come back in the future.
