We adore this Gite. The location is stunning - right in the old town of La Petite-Pierre (which is gorgeous). The rooms are well decorated and the beds are super comfy. We've stayed three times now (we use it as an overnight stop when visiting family in France) and we usually take a triple room as this is a suitable size for two adults and a baby. The owners are really helpful and kind and, in our experience, are quick to respond to messages and offer support when things go wrong (we had a mix-up with our Booking.com booking one time and Estelle very quickly helped us resolve everything). The breakfast is humble but delicious. What we love most about the property is the communal shared kitchen and dining area. It is perfect for us as a family as it means we can easily feed both ourselves and the baby and not have to depend on restaurants for evening meals. Plus, we can put the baby to bed and return downstairs (with the baby monitor, of course!) to enjoy a glass of wine and some card games while she sleeps. Saves us having to go to bed at 7pm or tiptoe around the room so as not to wake her! In the summer months the Biergarten is a definite plus (the food is lovely and the staff are great). There is also a large play-area at the top of the old town (a minute's walk from the Gite) that is perfect for allowing little ones some space to play before/after a long day of driving. The apartment is in the best location in La Petite Pierre, and maybe in the entire region. It's up a quiet pedestrian only stone road with a church and chateau at the end. Beautiful! The design touches in the apartment far exceeded expectations; the host has thought of everything -- including a cloth shopping bag for each unit. It's incredibly cute, great shower, bed and kitchen. I would 100% stay here again.

it was self contained and clean and tidy and our hosts were great and left us alone but were there if we had any issues

Reception was very friendly and helpful . Definite language barrier - my French is not good and reception’s English was not good but we were able to communicate reasonably well . Room was clean and bathroom had a bathtub . our room , 201 was on the street but was quite quiet . Our view from the room of the Valley was great On site restaurant opened a bit late ,7:00PM but food was good with reasonable price point . Breakfast was adequate .
