Alles is ons goed bevallen: de eerste indruk als je het historische gebouw ziet, wat heel goed onderhouden is, de vriendelijke ontvangst, de mooie grote kamer (nummer 15) met twee balkons en uitzicht op het meer. Ontbijten op het terras met prosecco en vers gemaakte eiergerechten, vers fruit en lekkere broodsoorten. Een etagère met kaassoorten, vlees- en vissoorten, o.a. zalm. Ook tweemaal in de avond in het restaurant gegeten en het was allemaal heerlijk en op en top verzorgd. Dit alles in een heel sfeervolle ambiance. Het vriendelijke personeel en de aandacht die ze je geven geeft je echt een fijn gevoel. Dit is vakantie vieren in optima forma. Natuurlijk hangt hier een prijskaartje aan zoals aan alles in Zwitserland maar wij hebben het er graag voor over gehad. Daarbij ook nog eens schitterend weer.

If we could rate this accommodation as 11 out 10, we would definitely do it! We are experienced (and quite demanding) guests but this apartment is just perfect. There is absolutely everything in the apartment (usually you always find something small that is 'nice to have but missing' but not here. We found absolutely everything! The balcony view is just... like a picture (you have difficulty to believe it's real). You can enjoy Swiss landscape without even stepping out even though there are a lot of nice areas to visit/to see. Important: tourist cards allow you to use the local buses free of charge during your stay that make it's very easy those who want to rest from the car driving :) The area is very quite (in the evening you hear just cows bell somewhere in the valley, just amazing! :) The host is extremely friendly and attentive. You feel yourself welcome even before you ring the door bell. It's a first time in our life we found out our names being displayed on the garage door ( simply for clear parking slot indication). Something small but it gives such a welcome feeling! :) The host lives just in the same building (The apartment has a separate entrance and located on the first floor). There is a small supermarket just 30 meters from the apartment which was very handy. We write this review with almost 3 weeks delay and still feeling excited about our stay :) Dear Lieve, we extremely regret that we booked only 2 nights. If we knew it was so nice, we would surely have stayed longer. We'll be back next year without doubts. Many thanks for this fantastic experience, we've enjoyed enormously! the unique location adjacent to the superb thun castle is like a fairy tale, we had a panorama room with superb views. the room was big and modern. the staff is friendly. the castle itself not worth a visit. there is a big good public parking but you need to carry the luggage for 20m. the price is very fair for what you get. it is worth to come to thun for this hotel. very recommended

We loved Casa Toscana. This is a three bedroom house and my husband and I didn't need this much space but we looked at each other and said "how can we not stay here?". If you have even the slightest artistic inclination, a whimsical attitude or simply appreciate the labor of love involved in creating this unique home, this is your place to be. Wandering through the house is practically a destination in itself. There are constant new discoveries of interesting things incorporated into the art. There are at least four distinct outdoor seating areas and all of them offer a wonderful place to relax. Jurg prepped a fire for us on one patio and it was a great place to unwind after a long day hiking. Jurg is a charming, exuberant, talented host who sincerely wants his guests to enjoy their stay. He is informative and welcoming in his communication. The location is an easy walk to Old Town and very close to the lake. Parking is immediately in front of the house which is great for those driving a vehicle. We always hope to make it back to wonderful vacation locations and Switzerland is beautiful and Lake Thun is gorgeous, but the driving factor to bring us back here would be this amazing lodging!
