Located in Houghton, The Residence is a boutique hotel that offers spacious suites with a spa bath, and a balcony overlooking the garden, the tennis court or the outdoor pool. This was a one night layover in Johannesburg after being in Paris, Kenya and the Seychelles , for two weeks. This property FAR exceeds all expectations. The couples spa treatment was the absolute best.

I also loved the attention to detail, the communication from them was also top notch. They paid attention to detail from the smell, how clean it was, providing a steamer, leaving a little shower gel for us, leaving a coffee, all cleaning equipment. In short I didn’t lack for anything

We ordered a bottle of wine and a snack platter to the room for our arrival, and the staff were very accommodating of this request and organized to arrange all for us.
