We stayed for 8 nights : one night in the « Nomad » room and 7 nights in « The Bunk » room. First of all, prior to our arrival, the concierges were very responsive to all of our questions and demands. On site, the staff is so helpful and you can feel that they want to make your stay enjoyable. Each room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfy. The common areas were delightful and luxurious, with fresh flowers and incredible attention to detail. You can tell that the owners really put some thought into every little aspect of the hotel. The Nomad is a spacious room with a peak on the ocean. The Polaroid in this room was really a great surprise and we had fun with it. The Bunk is a smaller room without any view, but we preferred it for our week stay because of the kitchenette (large sink, mini fridge, Nespresso, kettle, toaster, large Breville toaster oven / air fryer). We were traveling with our 7 year old son, so the kitchenette was really useful for us. Parking was plentiful on the street and we did not need to pay. The location was fantastic. Plenty of shops, restaurants and of course, the ocean (and the seals!!!), all within a very short walking distance. All and all, we had a fabulous stay and it was the best hotel we have ever experienced.

Pokoje byly po rekonstrukci, tedy uplně nové, krásné a moderně vybavené s lednicí. Meli jsme pokoj v přízemí s velkými okny a výhledem na menší bazén. Bazén jsme nevyužili, bylo jsme zde mimo sezonu. Ubytování mělo vlastní parkoviště. Umístění hotelu bylo v klidné pěkné a bezpečné obytné čtvrťi na pěší zvdálenost od moře. A kousek od pláže s tuleni a pelikány. Nemám, co bych vytknula, určitě doporučujeme.

Located 5 miles from La Jolla town centre and nearby beaches, this hotel boasts a large heated pool and hot tub. All rooms are equipped with iHome docking stations. Excellent location, service and accomodation. Hotel is GREAT!!!

Steps from the noted San Diego surf spot, Windansea Beach, The Shoal Hotel La Jolla Beach offers free WiFi and a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub. Private on-site parking is available too. The location is excellent with a 5 minute walk to the beach and 20 minutes from San Diego. Fabulous spot for breakfast next door (Café Vahik) and very close to other restaurants, Mandarin House is great. Staff and room were excellent. So relaxing that we stayed an extra night .

Just 5 minutes' walk from the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, this eco-friendly 4-star hotel offers a fine-dining restaurant and a large outdoor pool. The Grande Colonial La Jolla is a hotel from a past era, and in a good way. There's plenty of comfort and convenience, but the building and decor feel like last-century coastal California... and I mean that as high praise. I notice from the hotel's photos that there are rooms with ocean views, but I didn't know that when I booked and I was very pleased with our room and its view on main street La Jolla. A great stay, if too short.
