This Arlington hotel is less than 1 mile from historic Georgetown and 2.5 miles from the National Mall. Amenities include an on-site restaurant and lounge and rooms with a flat-screen TV. Location was superb -- close to Rosslyn Metro Station and view of Washington Monument from one window. Hidden gem of Freedom Park. Close to Roosevelt Island parkrun.

I lived in the area for years, so we were focused on tourist activities, but this would be a very good location/base. We traveled with two small children and the apartment had plenty of space and it was nice that they had a pack and play and a high chair. The kitchen was handy to have for us to do breakfast ourselves. The view was great too. It was handy for us to have parking so we could visit friends and family in the area and not need taxis or Ubers. It’s also a block from Target, which is handy for stocking up on supplies.

Location of alternative property had easy access to metro and local dining. Very clean and well appointed.
