Well outside city center but very close to basic services and shops. Clean and comfortable with a "no frills" kind of vibe. Adjacent restaurant very friendly, tasty and affordably priced.

Located in Kyiv, 5.5 miles from Kiev Train Station, Zhayvir provides accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is around 5.6 miles from St. Zhayvir is a budget hotel so it would be easy to pick on aspects that were not so good but, in truth, Zhayvir is perfect for the single traveller who is going to spend most of the day out travelling the sights. During my 18 days in Kyiv I intended to spread myself around three different hotels, in different areas. But, Zhayvir was perfect and the Kyiv Metro is also so good, it doesn't really matter where you are based. So I stayed. Initially, I was on the top floor but the stairs played havoc on my ageing knees so, at the end of the first week a room on the first floor became available - and I moved in there. The lower rooms are slightly more expensive and my new room didn't have a fridge. But beyond the fridge the two rooms were identical. When I was on the first floor I used the communal fridge by reception. Each en-suite room has a TV (which I never used), a kettle (which I used every day), a good sized desk, a wardrobe and a good heater. And the windows opened (so make sure the kids don't mess with them!) - but I liked the fact I could get some fresh air in each day. The beds were comfortable and I was always warm enough (I was there Nov/Dec). There's also a small table and adequate plug sockets. There is a security guard at the main door, you can come in an out anytime. The front desk staff were all lovely even though only little English was spoken (but this was to be expected). The hotel is approx 9 mins walk from Sviatoshyn Metro station, about 5 mins walk from an excellent (normal) pub (drink the Sviatoshyn beer - it's lovely!) - I can't tell you the name but I'll attach a photo of their card, even closer to 3 decent supermarkets (where I bought 75 percent of all my food) and close to 2 kebab stalls (I'd have one most nights). There is also a taxi point en-route to the underpass to get to the pub! There is also a very good lady seamstress between the Novus supermarket and the Sviatoshyn station.

I absolutely loved the hospitality of the staff!! Specially Mr Oleg, thank you so much! And the location is very convenient, it took me 15 min from center to the hotel. Will be back for sure.

Set in a green surrounding on the lakeside, 2 minutes’ drive from Zhitomirska Metro Station, this hotel features free Wi-Fi and a restaurant with a terrace. Guests are offered rooms with a fridge. Great location. super tranquil if you want sanatorium style of stay. Literally based near the lake and ex forest. If you need to meditate and listen some birds singing when the moning comes, listen. If you need to to your wakeboard lessons - do, have a picking time or beer party and have some fun - it right here (the beach full of lovely people from Kiev), or to do some reading by the lake - the opion is avaliable except weekends. Weekends are Noisy.When you need to go to the city huge road by the hotel, so easy: use a taxi or 4 bus station to reach underground Zhitomirstaya station🚉 . As for restorant or supermarkets it is right here. 'Verhovina' restaurant was closed during my stay, but it looks big and menu looking good. General information - super friendly stuff and it is quite cosy, because it is a private hotel.

Featuring a karaoke bar and a restaurant with Polish cuisine, this hotel is located on the Brest-Litovske Motorway, 30 minutes’ drive from Kiev Train Station. Rooms come with air conditioning. The Hotel is really nice, and has a old historic feel to it. Staff were helpful and welcoming. I liked this hotel and do recommend it.
