The location is in the heart of Casco Viejo. The room we had 101 I think in the Spanish building, was small but the bathroom was very comfortable. We had a room facing towards the gardens, which was lovely w an outdoor terrace shared by 3 rooms. From there we watched a bride taking pictures in the garden. The rooms facing the Avenue are louder with traffic and people walking by.

He told us so much about the history and stories of the hotel, and also gave us some suggestions for what to see in Cisco Viejo. The lobby bar pianist is wonderful and plaid the music so beautiful. We like everything in the hotel.

Tantalo Hotel - Kitchen - Roofbar, is set in Panama City’s historic San Felipe Casco Viejo district, 2 minutes’ walk from Cathedral Square. Due to protests in Panamá, I was retained in San Blas for two more days than expected so, unfortunately I was not able to check in at the hotel. The hotel, however, refunded me for the night due to unexpected circumstances, which was very nice, since my reservation was non refundable. Hope to come again to Panamá city and stay in this hotel in a near future!
