The beautiful fishing village of Coloane is within walking distance. - Authentic colonial Portuguese architecture, with sculpted balconies, characteristic blue-and-white tiles on the walls, and mosaic floors outside. Probably one of a few places in the world to enjoy this kind of environment. - Clean, spacious, and comfortable room with a view to the beach and the sea. Haven't had this lot of space in a hotel room for a long time. - Helpful and welcoming staff. Everything I asked for was quickly resolved. E.g., initially I got a room with a rather uncomfortable matress. I asked the receptionist about that, and was immediatelly offered another room to chose between. The other room was perfect. - Excellent breakfast. I especially recommend the freshly made omelette with cheese, ham, onions, and champignons. I also had a dinner one night at the hotel restaurant. It was excellent, too. - Outdoor swimming pool. Not very large, but definitely enough for some exercise in the morning or evening.
