Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Galle Fort Hotel is a 11 suite boutique hotel located inside the historic Galle Fort. The service at this hotel was absolutely spot on. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were treated like honoured guests. Attention to detail with small welcome notes and treats and cool towels as we returned from hot/busy tourist days. They went out of their way to reserve great tables for us at dinner, prepare special breakfasts for us each morning, a wonderful packed breakfast for our early morning whale watching adventure, and a late check out on our departure day. Special shout out to Dilan who was consistently kind, observant, and responsive. Returning to the hotel each afternoon was such a joy! Oh, and the room (loft room) was massive and wonderfully clean and spacious. Yes, the stairs creaked a bit when you walked down them - it's an old hotel, it was fine! It's hard to decide if you are going to lounge by the pool all day or get out and explore! The location is wonderful for walking and wandering the old town and it's super easy to arrange Tuk Tuks if you are keen to explore the beaches.
