Attractively set in the Nishikyo Ward district of Kyoto, Riverside Arashiyama is situated 1.4 km from Arashiama Bamboo Grove, 3.5 km from Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple and 4.7 km from Katsura Imperial... We enjoyed the location - 20 minute train ride from centre of Kyoto, walking distance to the Bamboo Forest and surrounds. We best liked that we had the town to ourselves before and after day-trippers.

We love the view of the river from our room and the sound of the river is really soothing. Excellent location as it is off the crowded tourist area, but close enough to visit the Bamboo Forest very early in the morning. Good breakfast.

Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama blev renoveret i 2014 og har restaurant, café og offentligt bad. Togstationen JR Sagaarashiyama og togstationen Torokko Saga ligger blot 1 minuts gang derfra. The location was the best right next to the station we came from only walked 150 feet right to my room

I’d say this hotel is underrated. We stayed here when we visited places around/near Arashiyama so I won’t say that the location is bad. You just have to plan your trip and map it out. Staff were great, I can speak a little japanese but they can converse well in english, too. Room was great and spacious - and the sunrise view from our balcony was beyond perfect. The building is classic and well-maintained. They have a shuttle going to Saga Arashiyama station, but I don’t mind the 10-15 mins. morning walk.
