Located in an elegant building, Hotel Barocco overlooks Piazza Barberini square and its iconic fountain, made by Rome’s baroque master, Bernini. Rooms offer free Wi-Fi and antique furnishings. The location is great. I was with my young children and had a stroller and was able to navigate the area just fine. When we didn’t walk, we took cabs/Ubers and it was fine. There are lots of places to eat nearby, and our favorite gelato spot is within walking distance. The staff was incredibly kind. When we arrived, our driver said he only accepted cash (even though cash/card is listed as a payment method). I didn’t have cash and was able to coordinate with the staff to take care of the payment. The housekeeping team was quite pleasant. There is at least one who speaks fluent English, and she was the absolute sweetest. I would definitely stay here again with my family or as a solo traveler.

Just 50 metres from Barberini Metro, Casa I Cappuccini is a restored Monastery offering rooms with free WiFi. Set on popular Via Veneto street, the property is 550 metres from the Spanish Steps. The room was very nice and extremely clean. The A/C was good and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel provided new towels and toilet paper on a daily basis. The staff was helpful and spoke English well. The hotel is located at a central position, right next to metro station Barberini. Therefore, it was easy for us to reach the most important sites by metro (Vatican, Colosseo, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese). The hotel is within walking distance from major sites: Around 10 to 15 minutes from Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna, Villa Borghese and around 20 to 25 minutes from Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona and Pantheon. Furthermore, in front of the hotel there are bus stops with various buses useful for reaching the aforementioned sites when metro is not available as well as Isola Tiberina and Trastevere. Near the hotel there are some choices for eating and drinking that are cheaper compared to the rest of Rome. Moreover, a supermarket is close to the hotel, where water can be bought at a reasonable price.

Albergo Ottocento sijaitsee vain 200 metrin päässä Barberinin metroasemalta ja 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Fontana di Trevi -suihkulähteeltä. Tyylikkäissä huoneissa on ilmastointi ja taulu-tv. My wife and I visited with a friend for two nights after a Med cruise. We took the train from the airport which is a quick 30 journey to Termini Station. The hotel is located near the Metro, great restaurants and 10 min stroll from Trevi Fountain. The house restaurant is very good and breakfast is excellent. The walk from the Barberini Metro stop is easy and quick even with two rolling suitcases per person. I will return to this location again.
