Alex Hotel & Spa is located in Marseille. Featuring a terrace, this boutique hotel is a 15-minute walk from Marseille’s old port and 200 metres from Saint-Charles Metro Station. The staff were wonderful; helpful and friendly and spoke English which was great for monolingual me! Had everything you need including able to make coffee and bottles of water. Next door to Gare St Charles and only twenty minutes walk to Vieux Port. Has character…not sterile like some hotels

Hotel Holiday Inn Express Marseille Saint Charles sa nachádza v centre mesta Marseille, oproti železničnej stanici a 10 minút chôdze od Starého prístavu. I stayed at this hotel and in Marseille just for the night coming from somewhere by plane and then taking the train in the morning to another city in Southern France. For this purpose, it was a perfect stay (comfy bed, quiet, train station opposite the hotel, good breakfast). Cannot really evaluate anything else though unfortunately.
