Next door to Gare St Charles and only twenty minutes walk to Vieux Port. Has character…not sterile like some hotels

Holiday Inn Express Marseille Saint Charles is opposite the train station and a 10-minute walk from the Vieux Port in Marseille’s city centre. It offers en suite rooms and free Wi-Fi. I stayed at this hotel and in Marseille just for the night coming from somewhere by plane and then taking the train in the morning to another city in Southern France. For this purpose, it was a perfect stay (comfy bed, quiet, train station opposite the hotel, good breakfast). Cannot really evaluate anything else though unfortunately.

The Hotel Terminus is located opposite the Saint-Charles Train Station in central Marseille. Just a 10-minute walk from the Vieux Port, it offers en-suite accommodation with free WiFi. It was extremely convenient to the train station. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend it and certainly going back.

Situated in Marseille, 2.9 km from Plage des Catalans and 1.1 km from Vieux Port Metro station, B&B Casa Ortega offers accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and water sports facilities. Very good breakfast: croissants, homemade granola, yogurt, baguette, brioches and lots of jams and creams. Perfect location, very close to the city centre and vieux port. We went everywhere on foot because the position is excellent and you don’t even need transport to see the main attractions. Caroline is the best hostess! She is nice and willing to give advice on what to visit out and about Marseille. Thank you, we had a lovely stay!
