We travelled as a family of four and this place is perfect. You can tell the owners love this place, they did everything to make it comfortable for the guests. There are a lot of basic (kitchen) supplies that can be used in the appartment. Of course we also bought some new supplies for the next guests. Since the appartment is fully equipped, it is very comfortable. The washing machine is a big plus too. The appartment is located only 10 minutes drive from Winterberg center. We went skiing and then you need to take your car anyway. And the surroundings are beautiful and nice and quiet. Price - quality ratio is very good. Would recommend it!

This family-run hotel in Hildfeld offers country-style cosy rooms, traditional food from the Rothaargebirge mountains, and easy access to the hiking routes of the Neuer Hagen and Hilletal nature... clean and comfy. the couple managing the establishment were extremely nice! we had our first dinner in the « pub » in the same building which is also managed by the couple. The husband was really nice and we had a great evening

The apartment was cozy, with a nice wood stove and everything you need for a week in the mountains. It was very easy to communicate with the owners - when we had an issue with the heating they answered right away and the problem was immediately fixed. They were very receptive to any feedback. Having access to Netflix was a nice touch, especially since we were not able to cross-country-ski for lack of snow... The apartment is situated in a lovely village a short drive from Winterberg, ski and toboganning hills, and very nice hiking.
