The Fontenay, Designhotel des Jahres 2023 und 2024 is a 5-star hotel situated on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. It gives me great pleasure to give feedback on The Fontenay. We have stayed in numerous 5 Star hotels around the world over the last many years and we have never experienced anything like The Fontenay. It is very luxurious, elegantly decorated and has a charming and very welcoming atmosphere with very attentive and professional staff. The location is fantastic right at the beautiful Alster lake. In short it was a magical experience. We shall definitely come back. Thank you all at The Fontenay for making our stay with a truly memorable experience.

Das kleine Grindel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Hamburg. Located around 1.3 km from Hamburg Fair, the hotel with free WiFi is also 2.6 km away from Inner Alster Lake. Everything was just perfect. My first choice if I come back to Hamburg.

Located in Hamburg, The hotel offers free Wi-Fi connection and paid on-site parking. It's a 15-minute walk from the city centre. The exhibition grounds are 700 metres away. The location was ideal and amazingly quiet -- despite being near the Dammtor rail station. Also, the best bed and bedding I have enjoyed in a long time (thinking of Swiss hotel in the 90s). The duvet and pillows were excellent quality. Also, the people at the reception were exceptionally helpful (tips for restaurants including how to eat Scholle) and very quick (also during those managing reservations when I was asking to extend my stay while traveling). This hotel is the most praiseworthy hotel I've encountered in decades. Really exceptional.

This family-run hotel is located right in the heart of Hamburg, in a quiet side street in the beautiful Harvestehude district. Everything was excellent. Breakfast was so good. Staff was very friendly and kind. Hotel is Altbau i love it

This hotel in central Hamburg offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Hotel Fresena is near Dammtor Train Station, Hamburg's CCH Exhibition Centre and the Alster Lake. Very nice, clean hotel in a quiet area. Easy to find and close to the Central station. Breakfast were excellent with lot of variety pastry and fruit.

Loved all the details around breakfast with regional details around Krabbensalat, Fleischsalat and Zwiebelmett. Amazing choice of all sorts of breads and sweets. Room was big and comfortable, housekeeping aranged time for cleaning when we were still in the room, e-bikes available at decent charge and fantastic location. Three different restaurants and rooftop bar. Tried everything and loved. Really felt welcome and at home. Everything was super easy.

This hotel occupies a mid-19th century Hanseatic building, in the popular district of Harvestehude and lies close to the Alster lake, Dammtor railway station and the exhibition grounds. Amazing stay with the kindest staff!

A very nice hotel, with a perfect location when traveling to Hamburg University Law Faculty, very clean, with very pleasant and helpful staff, and excellent value for money.
