Featuring a restaurant and a business centre, Hotel Avenida Buenos Aires offers free Wi-Fi and American breakfast in Cartagena de Indias. Staff were excellent--seems like the people who work in hotel business in Colombia are topnotch in giving excellent service; beds were comfy; wifi worked adequately. Restaurant was very good; the cook knew his stuff. Breakfast and coffee were good.

Featuring an outdoor pool, Ayenda 1801 El Oceano is set in a Mediterranean-style building only a 15-minute drive from Cartagena’s historic centre and Bocagrande Beach. This is not a Hampton Inn but it does everything you want in a hotel. Clean sheets and towels, small refrigerator, Good breakfast, nice clean swimming pool. A bit nicer then motel 6.

The Altamar Hotel offers spacious accommodations in Cartagena, just 10 km from the Walled City. Rooms at the Altamar Cartagena are all equipped with air conditioning, free WiFi and LCD and cable TV. Although the location is not great. The Hotel itself turned out to be quite nice, the rooms were large and immaculately clean the reception staff were very helpful. I particularly liked the fact that they had a very secure underground garage for my car, and they had very good quality Wi-Fi

Starting with the front desk crew who was always very polite and knowledgeable and ending with the Housekeeping staff who were always pleasant and smiling, the crew is the only good thing I liked during my stay.
