What was there not to like! The staff was excellent. When we arrived the staff made the check in experience a delight with coffee and a map with all the sites around Plovdiv to see. The Villa Flavia was built upon the baths for the Roman athletes who had just fought in the gladiator games and the charioteers. The staff gave us a tour of the ruins of these baths including the hypocaust that heated these baths. The aqueducts for the water in ancient Plovdiv (Philippopolis) came from over 30k away. It was all very interesting and included a 10 minute video. The breakfasts every morning were amazing! You had several options to choose from and also included a buffet one morning when there were more guests. The rooms were very clean with a wonderful bathroom which had a very nice large shower with plenty of hot water. The views from the room were spectacular. All in all it was a very nice stay and we shall be back again. Best hotel experience in about 8yrs.

Great location a short (uphill) walk to the Roman amphitheater, we had tickets to an evening concert, so the Pulpudeva was a perfect location for us. A charmingly renovated traditional house. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Hotelul de tip boutique Evmolpia este găzduit de o casă renascentistă bulgară tradițională, situată în inima centrului vechi din Plovdiv, la doar 2 minute de mers pe jos de cartierul Kapana. Am stat doar o noapte, in tranzit, dar planuim sa revenim pentru ca orasul este foarte frumos si locatia minunata. Camerele sunt mobilate cu gust si foarte curate. Privelistea este frumoasa pentru ca se afla chiar in centrul vechi. Parcarea este pe strada, la cativa metri de hotel. Serviciile sunt la inaltime. Chiar daca nu e tocmai ieftin ajungi sa primesti ceea ce platesti: o cazare mai mult decat agreabila, saltele confortabile, bai suficient de spatioase, o primire calduroasa si un mic dejun consistent cu produse de calitate. In camera exista fierbator si fier de calcat.

The elegant Family Hotel at Renaissance Square is housed in a restored 19th century mansion located in the Old Town of Plovdiv. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The attitude of the owner and staff was great, we felt really at home! The breakfast was wonderful and the fact that there is a parking space outside the hotel is great. The old town is very close, and in one word everything was perfect.

The breakfast is good and the staff is friendly. You may park your car at the street outside of the hotel.

Belle Ville Hotel is situated in Plovdiv's old town, in a reconditioned historical building and offers free WiFi in the rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Booked my taxi when I left, showed me where to get the taxi outside the pedestrian zone, made me a packed breakfast and rang to check I got to the bus station ok. Wonderful location for hotel and Bulgarian revival style so characterful.
