Less than 10 minutes’ walk from Maroubra Beach, Southend Hotel offers free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a liquor store and a bar. The room was a comfortable size, and clean. The bed and bedding were comfortable too. Staff was friendly. There was also a washer and dryer we could use (4AUD each). The hotel is located in a cute neighborhood and a 10 minute walk maroubra beach, about 30 min car ride from bodi beach. I enjoyed our stay there.

The Grumpy Baker was a good stop for morning coffee. We liked the information package in the room that included a one-page map showing how to get on the coastal walk to Coogee. Our hosts were very friendly.
