Loved the jacuzzi, and the tents under the main tent! We were right on the river, which was lovely! It is the perfect spot for a getaway with friends! The staff were welcoming and friendly! I highly recommend!

I will never return as everything from the Maintenace round the pool, inside the chalet and outside was not done. Area in the reception was disgusting and open wires under the jacuzzi and outside the chalet after what seems to be a geyser that was replaced.
No Wifi for 24 hours on arrival, no water for 3 hours, jacuzzi not working and tripping all the time, grass in the main pool area left very long during peak season
TRULY A POOR EXPERIENCE AND I WIL NEVER GO BACK

We absolutely loved our 1 night stay at this lovely little cottage set amongst beautiful surroundings. The added bonus was the hot tub and also having a tv. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and when we needed assistance in resetting our hot water cylinder which had tripped when there was loadshedding, someone arrived immediately to attend to it. Be sure to order your wood when you arrive. This was also delivered to us promptly. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lighting next to the bed was excellent for reading at night. It was good value for money and will definitely be going back.

Citrusdal is 20 kms from the resort and is a one horse town with nothing to offer tourism. Every street is full of potholes, and there is a very limited retail offering. There is Hot Spring resort about 12 kms outside Citrusdal but they do not allow day visitors.

The setting of Citrusdal in the valley backed by impressive mountain peaks is most attractive. The town is home to a working community. For tourists, it offers convenient access to the Cederberg Mountains whether explored by car or on foot.

We just stay one night at the Baths.
We just stay one night at the Baths. Before we reach the Baths we stopped at Piekenierskloof wines De Tol. This was a good stop, I would suggest that you do a pit stop here. You can do a wine tasting. We went to the Shop Carmien where we taste Rooibos Teas. This was nice and the prices were reasonable. We also ordered toasted sandwiches and something to drink here. My toasted cheese and tomato sandwich was crunchie lekker. It was a relaxing atmosphere with a view. Then we stopped at Piekenierskloof Mountain resort. Magnificent views, we decided to order some cake and coffee here.
These are the two places I would really stop at, the Baths are far from the shops so if you need to buy things would suggest that you do it before going to the Baths. We had everything that we need, therefore we did not stop at the Citrusdal shops.
Private nature/botanical reserve with an abundance of plant and bird life, less than 2 hours from Cape Town. Safe hiking routes, with stunning views over the Citrusdal farms/valley. Heated outdoor jacuzzi with stunning views over the valley!
Yvette and team are doing excellent work with restoring the local gardens, the spring flowers were a sight for sore eyes. Great service from Anja :-)
No interaction with staff nor other visitors, so it was wonderful having a mask-free stay ;-)
It is a hidden gem close to Citrusdal. The Daisy Cottage is a beautiful and luxurious place to stay. We spent there two nights, but would love to spend more, actually. We fell in love with the tranquility and peacefulness of the place in combination with astonishing views over the lemon tree orchard with breathtaking rock formations at the horizon. And among them... THE WATERFALL! Simply, miraculous! Thank you, Mariam, for all your care and assistance.
The location of the accommodation was spectacular and the 2-bedroomed chalet was neat and well appointed. It was close to nature, but still had all the comforts of home such as air conditioning throughout. We loved the hot tub and the upcycled pool was the perfect way to cool off in the intense Citrusdal heat. The gas stove was very useful during loadshedding and we loved the large beds and freshly ground coffee provided.
The owner was supportive on what to do in the region. She provides a booklet plenty of information.
Very good breakfast with variations every day
Good internet wi-if
The hotel environment: garden, pool and views.
The room has all that you need for a pleasant stay.
I would come back.
We weren't initially happy with the family unit as it was on the cooler side of the hotel. We asked to be moved to adjoining rooms with a valley view and this was done at no extra cost. Breakfast was lovely and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you Piekenierskloof
The Country Lodge is an oasis of order in contrast to the decay of the town of Citrusdal. Friendly and helpful staff, good food (has oxtail, very tasty and tender). The room as comfy, just wished for a window/fanlight I could open overnight, for fresh air.
Excellent combination of water features. Thoroughly enjoy myself. Wonderful to warm our cold winter bones soaking in the Baths. Also went for a hike to the top of the mountain with great views and intermingle with the bird song and wildlife.
Location afforded great views down the valley to Citrusdal. Indoor and outdoor pools were good. Food and choice was decent enough. Staff pleasant. Room clean and decent size. We had a garden view with a terrace onto the lawn.
The Staff was absolutely stunning and helpful. We had a great Dinner experience and enjoyed the entire time at the Hotel.
If we are back in the Area we will definite come back again. Thanks for everything
Location and views, indigenous gardens with lots of bird life, set right in nature, jacuzzi on deck, private, secluded. Simple but comfortable accommodation, good shower. Lovely hiking trails.
Location was perfect. Self catering was ideal. No need for hotel breakfast or dinner. Enjoy the outdoor atmosphere. Even during loadshedding i managed to easily light a fire.
