Quite seaside town. That has many restaurants and cafes.
Quite seaside town. That has many restaurants and cafes. Also plenty of options for accommodation. Plenty of things to do like swimming, kite surfing and sailboarding. And the white sand dunes are worth visiting for the early morning sunrise, plus a ride on quad bike.

Mui Ne is a quiet place, perfect for the one looking for nature and sea in their original state. Phan Tiet is the kingdom of dragon fruits, there are now many new kinds, yellow, red pulp inside - GMos? There are many new resorts coming up, in Phan Tiet and near by Mui Ne, but there are many things to do to rise the level of the place.

We were close to the very popular foodcourt.
We were close to the very popular foodcourt. The local catholic church could get very busy at times. Local food options were good too. Sunset seafront bars were good but the beach wasn't great here. Nearest ATM was a good 1 km away. Local buses back into Phan Thiet took at least half an hour. You wiil need to take a taxinor Grab from Binh Thuan to connect to the North South railway.

It was a great place when the beaches were still usable.
It was a great place when the beaches were still usable. Now most of the coastline is gone, as are the resorts that still have beach charges or don't allow non-guests to access them. It never really recovered post-covid, which is sad because it has always been a great place to travel, not too far from HCMC.

Great little stop if you are looking to relax from the hustle and bustle of a big trip through Vietnam.
We actually had most of our meals at the Resort restaurant as it was on the beach and the lights and the beach setting at night was amazing.
Food was good, nice mix of Vietnamese and Western.

Knowing it since it was just a fisher village, Mui Ne has developed over the past two decades. Nevertheless you can see the pain Covid has endured on this place, with many restaurants and bars that closed down, empty shops and dirty areas on the streets.
It is definitely a nice weekend getaway out of HCMC, however I am not sure whether it is worth it to stay there for a very long time, as currently the choices are relatively limited. Joes Cafe, Nirvana and Dragon Beach are still operating, but are just ghosts of their former glory. From all the bars available, Joes Cafe is till date one that is nice to visit, with good shisha, reasonable prices for drinks and food. Nevertheless, the live bands are also not what they used to be, but better than nothing.
What is great to know is that the new highway reduce your traveling time to Mui Ne, however i not recommend to drive back on Sundays, as the traffic jams are horrible and your traveling time goes up to 4 hrs + if you are extremely unlucky.
Kitesurfing paradise has it has been claimed by many, i cannot agree with it, as it is good for advanced riders, beginners in my point of view will have an issue due to the strong current.
Nevertheless, its a better option than Ho Tram and also the cheaper option.
This little boutique hotel is amazing. Honestly a great place to stay, even if you’re sick! They took amazing care of me. I wouldn’t have wanted to have been anywhere else. They went out of their way to get me Pho delivered and made me lots of ginger tea.
I always look for quiet places and this was a perfectly quiet hotel but right in the mix of it all. Restaurants are all with in walking distance. The beach is a block away!
The brunch bar at the top of the alley was really good too.
looking forward to my next stay here!
nice and big resort with two big pools - best about the hotel is the staff! when we came back from a tour in the morning we were allowed to have breakfast way after breakfast time and when we left Mui ne one staff member noticed us sitting in the lobby a little helpless and helped us arrange our bus transfer and really went out of her way to communicate with the bus company and get everything in line for us - she was genuinely great and the kindest and most helpful person we’ve met in Vietnam. thank you very much!
A very pleasant place. Simple but spacious and clean rooms. Responsive hosts. I had a problem with my laptop charger, it didn't fit Vietnamese standards. The owners did everything to find the adapter late in the evening, and the next day they went and bought an adapter for me so that I would not have such problems again. The location is not in the busiest area, but I liked it. Cafes, shops were within walking distance, and at the same time it was quiet. For the price, this is a great option.
Very comfy stay at Phuong Nam Guest house! Good location not far from the beach and the room itself was great, best bed I've had in Vietnam so far! Plenty of eateries and bars nearby which aren't far to walk and the taxi's locally are cheap and reliable. Hien is absolutely brilliant and helped lots with my coach journey onwards, she was a great host! Would recommend to anyone looking to come to Mui Ne either as a couple or solo traveller like myself!
super lovely staff full of smiles. hotel decor really great and colourful. they’ve also created lovely spaces to hang out around the pool and bar. nice to stay somewhere with some personality.
situated right next door to a fab food court with so much choice for places to eat and drink. we ate both nights there. hotel organised us a scooter for the day so we could go to the seahorse beach, and then into Phan Thiet and also out to the dunes.
The resort had all the facilities we expected. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Di has been a great host in helping us providing us information on local attractions and answering most of our questions. Resort had two restaurants, staff in the main restaurant are very friendly but we can't say the same about the restaurant near the beach area (probably due to lack of staff). Kids loved the resort and many activities they could do!
This place was something to remember. It exceeded all our expectations. Each moment we felt vert giod there due to all small details: very nice decorations, french colonisl style, couzy lightening, nice calm music, outstanding service, good food. Eveything seems to be thought through. It is an ideal place (I am sure the best in Mui Ne) for those who are not fond of noisy activties in hotel and like stylish luxury boutique hotels.
It was a very pleasant stay, we felt like in paradise. The hotel not big and not small with great stylish rooms, very nice and helpful staff, beautiful beach not crowded, the breakfast buffet with wide variety of all possible from international to Vietnam´s food very tasty. The hotel garden was like tropical forest nicely designed and maintained. I couldn´t stop felt amazed by the beauty when passing it.
The resort is quite well managed and beautifully put. It does inspire a mediterranean village look.
Facilities are suitable for family with kids club and several pool options
We have lived and travelled in several european and asian countries, as well as within Vietnam and we consider this resort as a pleasant option, just 3 hours away from Saigon.
Every single part of our trip was fantastic! From now on we will only stay at Hoang Ngoc Resort when we come to Mui Ne. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was fantastic (my waistline agrees) and the pool/beach lounging area was wonderful. My husband especially loved the gardens and fish ponds. 10/10 for sure!
Ended up staying there a week, so I really loved it. Its very sociable and the happy hour is without comparison. The staff is really nice and helpful. I got lucky since I was there while they held the family dinner, the food I got at that was the best I had while my whole time in Vietnam.
Unique was a 3.5 star resort, and that was true. Flo the manager was very helpful especially as there was a misunderstanding with booking.com and an extra bed for our kids. The location was excellent and the pool and the beach are great.
I liked the location was very good , the staff are so friendly, close to the beach and shops ....anything you needed the staff was there to help you out thanks for the stay , would also come back to this hotel if I was in mui ne 😄
