Cute place. Comfy bed clean bathroom. Good breakfast
Tuscaloosa is a great place to visit. Lots to do. Great places to eat. Easy to get around in the town. Just make sure when you go there is nothing going on big on the college campuses because the hotels price gauge if there is something big going on in town. Surrounded by other great places in case you can't find a hotel there, but this only happens when the colleges are having big events. I love Tuscaloosa. Just make sure you get a good hotel.

Tuscaloosa has many family friendly and beautiful sites.
Tuscaloosa has many family friendly and beautiful sites. The traffic scared me but no accidents. It seemed as if the police were busy and in twos. The parks were ok but the site seeing made up for that. We ate at brick and spoon and I was very unimpressed and disappointed over shrimp n grits. If your in college it's the place to be.

Very nice and helpful staff!
Very nice and helpful staff! Cleanliness was our main concern and they met or exceeded our expectations. It's a very new hotel so everything was modern and up to date (electronics and facility). My only "complaint" is that the hotel is difficult to access. The GPS took us to the church parking lot behind the hotel. You need to cut through the adjacent hotel's parking lot to get to Avid. Not a big deal but it would be more convenient to have a separate driveway. We stayed at Tuscaloosa and our room faced the main street and highway. It was a Friday and there was a lot of noise coming from the roads still at bedtime. I'll request a room on the other side of the hotel next time. But overall, a VERY nice hotel for the price! We will book with them again in the future.

The whole trip was disaster. Pool no water.
The whole trip was disaster. Pool no water. Location was too shady to feel comfortable staying there. DM was very helpful. She found us another hotel which I paid for. Booking did nothing to help. I want my money back on room

The best thing about Tuscaloosa is the University.
The best thing about Tuscaloosa is the University. The campus is awesome; and the little downtown area near the university is charming, but that's pretty much all we liked about Tuscaloosa. We only went because that's where our daughter went to college, but found it super frustrating that hotels and rentals always gouge on lodging during special events. We probably won't ever go back. Our experience dealing with the locals when we had to do business with them was generally not very friendly.

Tuscaloosa is an awesome city.
Tuscaloosa is an awesome city. Everything is within just a couple of miles of each other. Very nice people and very informative people there. The mall is nice, Target is on point, The Olive Garden there is great.
This was the worst placed I’ve ever stayed in , it was dirty the pillows were so nasty , I had to buy new ones , and bed sheets just to have a comfortable stay , they should have paid me to stay @ there hotel , I had to clean the entire room , change sheets and the pillows, oh did I mention I had to buy new towels, the towels were so black from dirt , just a horrible mess of a hotel , don’t worry about getting a nonsmoking room , it smelled so bad , I used a entire can of Lysol , don’t stay @ this hotel .
Nothing the guy was very weird with me I didn’t know that I had to pay 250.00 deposit so I call booking.com customer service to talk to repersative about him so I sat in the lobby to call booking.com to let them know what the staff that works there came to sit by asking me some uncomfortable question so left the lobby in sat in the car I call my fiancé up to the hotel to make sure I was ok
This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at any hotel. The clerk at the front desk was extremely rude and not helpful. He gave me the wrong room. Then when he tried to correct the situation he gave me a room on the side where every room was vacant. When I asked to switch he double charged me and was extremely rude and nasty. I would recommend this as a place for anyone to stay.
This was my 2nd stay as I looked forward to and experience the warm welcome from the staff, the cleanliness, the comfortable environment both visits. That breakfast was the bom dot com 😋 I much rather stay here than the Embassy downtown Tuscaloosa even. The lighted parking area was so on point also… I could look out my window to see that my car was well secured!!! 💯🙂
Beware of this place
I received confirmation number and pin number
I continued to receive email confirmations of my room reservation up until the day before I traveled to Tuscaloosa
when the attendant arrived I gave him my confirmation number and I was told they had given my room away and they had no other rooms
The hotel is convenient to everywhere in Tuscaloosa! the staff was outstanding! our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived, but they immediately found us a room that was ready. Our room was cozy and clean!!! I was truly impressed with the housekeeping staff and how clean our room was.,We would stay there again!!
Well we made the reservation on line and got to the hotel and walked inside had to dial 500 to get the lady to come to the window and she looked awful and told us the room was not available and we needed to call to get our money back, so it was a bad experience
The breakfast was great with a great many of fresh options to choose from. The location was also very convenient for us and close to a good number of things. I highly recommend trying River if you are looking for somewhere delicious to eat near the hotel.
Location was decent. Hotel had a musty smell and the lobby smelled like pot when we were leaving. Room was okay. Clean except for a sticky spot near the door. Charging ports on alarm clock were broken. Rest of room was fine.
While not downtown, it is not far. Plus it is an area where you have all you need. You can be anywhere in Tuscaloosa within 10 minutes. The condition of the hotel is immaculate on the outside and inside.
We always stay here when we travel to Tuscaloosa for events with our 2 children who attend U of A. Since we have had 2 children attend, we have been staying there for 6 years. It feels like home.
