Highly recommend the Pioneer Auto Show... noting that not only does it contain autos, but many antiques from the 1900 to 1990. Antique sewing machines to PacMan machines. You have to look... allow at least 2 hours. Also recommend their cafe for breakfast.
Absolutely recommend the hamburgers at Circle E Drive In. One of the best on our weeklong trip including the Black Hills. You can eat inside, outside or just drive thu and pick up. French fries were amazing.

We stayed here to be able to go to 1880 town.
We stayed here to be able to go to 1880 town. Easy driving from there. Found a drive in restaurant that awesome food and good prices. and the Country Inn was great place to get away to. Staff was great, rooms were awesome and it was so peaceful.
I stayed at this hotel with a friend who was assisting me in driving a UHaul across I-90. We weren’t sure how far we would get that travel day so I didn’t make advance reservations however they were able to accommodate us which we appreciated. Murdo is a very small town with not many choices of places to stay. Breakfast was adequate and we enjoyed chatting with some of the other customers at breakfast. Staff was friendly as well.
I was very impressed with the Ireland Inn. Even in the offseason of this tourist town, I found the perfect room for my one night stay and at the most reasonable price. Very clean and quiet and I found the owner to be very pleasant and helpful. If you find yourself in Murdo and need a one night stay or a weeklong stay, you can't go wrong with this one.
I liked the chuck wagon setup for breakfast. The eggs and sausage was very good. Loved the spacious room which was much more like sitting in a living room than a hotel room and the cleanliness of the room. Beds were comfortable. The location was great because we were going to go to the 1880"s Town plus being near the interstate.
This place is not like mainstream hotel chains. Cosy and comfortable. Extremely clean with the BEST shower and bed in our travels through three states! Breakfast at the local family restaurant across the road was excellent with wonderful friendly staff. I will be recommending staying here to all my friends and family.
While this motel may be in the middle of miles of plains, it was a most pleasant surprise after a long day of driving. Very comfortable and inviting lodge-like decor so that it feels more like a vacation than just another hotel. Everything was kept impeccably clean and nice and welcoming.
The staff was exceptionally friendly. Moreover, the facilities were clean and the updates that had been done to this location brought it up to a 'modern standard' for hotels of this type.
Everything was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Offered coupons to local attraction. Offered list of local restaurants and gas stations. Very nice.
