Much better than what I expected. Good club house with kid friendly facilities and convenient food and drink amenities. Club house was open till very late as well. Caravan itself was very nicely decorated, and the facilities were akin to a hotel room. Very unique experience indeed.

A most charming spacious apartment and desert garden. Quiet and cozy. Loved the turntable and vinyl selection and abundance of humming birds. And the moon and stars at night. Close to town and the park entrance. The host was gracious and generous with recommendations.

We loved the homey feel, the decor was so cozy and comfortable. The yard literally felt like a little oasis away from the world, you could forget where you were, almost. Everything was clean and we had an excellent time.

The house had everything that I needed. Kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies (even coffee, filters, tea bags, sugar, creamer, filtered water in the refrigerator). Bathroom was also stocked with shampoo conditioner and soap. I enjoyed the cowboy pool after long hot day in the park and the hot tub at night. Everything was organized and labeled so it was easy to find and put away. The hosts had instructions for everything. Location was great with close proximity to both town and the park west entrance.

It was very close to Joshua Tree and walking distance to the small town of Joshua Tree. The Motor Inn looked so cute in the pictures on line. But that is not what we got. Looks like the grounds have note be maintained at all. Weeds, a dead weedeater, broom just laying on the ground. I would not stay again nor would I recommend.

High points: at the end of one of the two main roads you'll...
High points: at the end of one of the two main roads you'll find Keys View. stunning view into the valley. We arrived about an hour before sunset and it the light was perfect! Take the Barkers Dam trail and on your way back head over to the petroglyphs. Continue on, around the rock face, and you'll find another amazing view of a valley full of Joshua trees. Park staff were very friendly and helpful. Be forewarned, all toilet facilities are outhouses. They have them all over the park, but the ones at the campgrounds get heavier use. We were there for two days and got to see the highlights. We went in early March and the weather was cool (68 deg) and sunny. Park wasn't too crowded. But we went on a Monday and Tuesday. It's easy striking distance from LA so beware of weekend crowds.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

Beautiful scenery and places to hike in February and cooler times, but it would be too hot to hike in the prime of summer. There should be some cafes or at least a couple simple restaurants in the park and there were none. I loved all of the thrift stores and the outdoor market was wonderful too. Fantastic places to eat like Crossroads Cafe and see live music like Pappy and Harriet's. Fun sights to see like the crochet museum and art galleries throughout the town. Beautiful national park, absolutely gorgeous place to take photographs, especially at dusk when the silhouettes of the joshua trees stand out against the setting sun. Stargazing is mesmerizing in the park at night, but also very satisfying from anywhere in town. Easy to navigate and walk around town.Stacey

Great kitchen, stocked with spices, oil, foil, and all the pots, pans and utensils you would want. Gas grill was a big plus. Hung out on the front porch after my hikes, and at night I watched the stars from the special gazing bed. Master bed was very comfortable. TV and internet worked fine, but I enjoyed the phonograph and record library even more. Simply a great getaway hideout for one or two.
