Half Moon Bay is a small community with loads of weekend visitors. Hence, nutty traffic on the weekends. Restaurant options were a mixed bag - found a great Italian place (Pasta Moon) and a horrible Indian place (India Beach).

Lovely hotel & location, but certain services and facilities are curtailed at different times of the year..,.eg the dining room was closed during our stay, as was the bar and the spa. This meant no breakfast was available, and all meals/drinks needed to be taken outside of the hotel.

We stayed in Half Moon Bay to stay out of the SF/Silicon Valley crazy but many of our activities were over on the east side of the peninsula. The seafood was fantastic (Sam's Chowder House) and the beaches and road side farms were as well.

Walked from Harbor Inn to the restaurants and moorings in the harbor across the street. Beautiful harbor, lots of walking opportunities, and a lot of choices to places to eat.
I ate at Barbara's Fish Trap right on the wharf. Fresh broiled sea bass was amazing and the service was great.

Half moon bay is a great weekend visit.
Half moon bay is a great weekend visit.
While there is not much to do late at night, there is plenty to do during the day and evening.
We spend the day/night visiting shops, going wine tasting, walking on the beach, and going out to eat.
Although we sometimes like to stay out late, it was nice to come back a little early and relax back where we were staying.
Everyone in town is very friendly!

Alot of good eating places, Cameron's and the barn walking distance from quality inn. Another of places to walk along the beaches. Nice shops in the little town. My husband and I go there about every three months and stay three days.
We found this hotel very well ranked on booking but from the beginning we experience several problems: the sheets were dirty, we ask for changes. Two days after we had dirty towels. We found an agreement with the manager to compensate all of this issues and it was not respected…now we are leaving and waiting for our refund…the breakfast is poor! So for all of this reason I don’t recommend this place!
The check-in staff was very friendly and offered to help with my bags (golf). Breakfast was a pleasant surprise: Peet's coffee, yogurts, pastries, cereals, fruit, boiled eggs and string cheese. I enjoyed sitting on the patio (upstairs) watching the golfers at Half Moon Bay Old Course, while catching up on emails (good Wi-Fi).
The room was very nice. The breakfast was good but it was continental (no eggs or breakfast meats). Parking and room access were super good and even though the hotel is on the Pacific Coast highway our room was very quiet. Beach access is just minutes away via walking with the trail starting in the NW corner of the parking lot.
The room was huge and gorgeous! We loved the enormous bathtub! It was great having a refrigerator, television and being so centrally located in Half Moon Bay. We loved the whole vibe, and the complimentary brandy! It was so fun to walk down to Main Street and have breakfast at a local cafe.
Beautifully appointed, clean, and charming. Right on the ocean and near the Coastside trail for great walks. About a 4 mile walk to the downtown of Half Moon Bay, using the trail along the ocean. Good breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening!
Outdoor patio very nice, with fire at the table. great to have wine and snacks available. Breakfast very good. Shared area of living and dining room very nice. Very accessible to downtown area of Half Moon Bay
Great location for people who pass by Half Moon Bay, right on the road. A couple of great restaurants nearby (La Costanera for dinner, The Press for Breakfast).
The rooms are really nice and cozy.
