Breakfast was not included. Location was great for visiting UC Davis, walking around downtown, hiking the arboretum trails, etc. For those who prefer walking, this location is perfect. The room was huge, with an amazing bathroom. Quiet, and comfortable.

A very comfortable, clean, luxurious room in a great location in central Davis. My only quibble would be that there was no one around in the morning when I tried to check out about 6:45 am, but that didn't seem to be a problem.

Bummer was Hotel was falling apart No Elevator for our 6 days stay we were on the second floor of the hotel so we had to climb lots of steps to get to and from our room the ice machine was broken on our floor and when we first arrive for four hours no water
But all the staff and the managers were all very nice there and pleasant, very good breakfast and that was it

Great place to stay in Davis.
Great place to stay in Davis. Close enough to UC Davis that we didn't have to get up early for Aggie Day. There were good restaurants nearby (highly recommend the Japanese one) and a fab grocery store.

Be prepared for a friendly hotel that has slipped away from its previous high standards, with rooms badly in need of a facelift. It has all the facilities, though some are slightly shabby. It definitely needs tighter management and staff with better training.

The hotel met my expectation.
The hotel met my expectation. However, I was charged about $15 over the price that was shown during booking and confirmation. I asked why but was told it was for incidental and would be refunded upon checked out. It was not refunded when I checked out. In fact, I was not given a receipt even I had asked for one. Booking.com has not done anything to help me to resolve this situation. It is not so much about the $15 but it is the principle of the hotel not meeting its advertised price.

The city is beautiful the food is fantastic. It is possible to visit many places by walking and there are good public transport options to Sacramento and the Bay area. Davis is definitely one of my favorite places.

I lived in Davis for many years, so I know where I want to go when I am there. I recommend the Davis Food Co-op for bulk foods, organic produce, and spices hard to find elsewhere. There is an Asian market on Fourth street. The Farmers Market is Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning. Davis Ace Hardware has a good selection of kitchen wares, towels, and napkins. Pence Gallery on D Street and The Artery on G Street have original art for sale. There are independent book stores downtown, one for new books and toys, another for used books. There are three movie theaters downtown - one for indie films. The arboretum and university campus are favorite places to walk. Unitrans buses can take you around town - walk down third street to campus to get on board. There is a variety of restaurants on Second and Third streets, E and G Streets, and the university student union on campus. Indian and Nepalese food are especially good. Amtrak service is frequent.
The hotel is not quite in the city center proper but still very close by.
Even though the railway is close the noise from the train did not bother us.
Staff was very friendly, we had a long stay and they upgraded us to a cottage without us asking.
Free comfortable parking right in front.
We went during Picnic Day at UC Davis and there was no loud partying nearby.
Advice -- if you stay longer, get the paid cleaning service at least every 2 days.
I had been looking forward to our returning arrival in Davis, specifically for a well deserved weekend getaway at this hotel for two weeks. And just as before, staff was very friendly, their rooms are very spacious and reasonably priced. The community always seems buzzing with a liveliness that keeps a positive vibe in atmosphere.
My stay at Hyatt House was really comfortable and offered great facilities for my two night stay. I liked the size of the room and the bathroom and room generally was very clean. The staff were warm and welcoming on each day I was there and it was a good distance to UC Davis, which was perfect for my stay.
The location in Davis was very nice; there is a train nearby so if you're sensitive to noise be aware of this. It didn't bother me much, but I'm a pretty heavy sleeper. The room was large and the beds and sofa bed were comfortable. It was very clean and we were generally pretty happy with the room.
very well located to walk in Davis. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. only drawback was the noise from the refrigerator and heater as well as the street noise. overall, it was a good place to stay near campus, however. we will do so again.
The location was close to town, a pleasant walk to all the shops and restaurants. The room had a microwave as well as a small fridge, and a separate living room area. Nice air conditioning system for those hot summer days in Davis.
Clean, close to stores and somewhat close to UC Davis, had almond milk available at breakfast. Bathrooms updated. Bed comfortable. Temperature of room regulated well, fridge in room and both not too noisy.
The room was very nicely designed exceeding my expectations! The little private outdoor patio was another bonus. The Vines is very conveniently located to downtown Davis and the Amtrak station.
Great location while visiting UC Davis with easy freeway access.
Nice breakfast with lots of variety.
Quiet room (top floor).
The bed was very comfortable.
The shower water pressure was good.
It was a close walk to everything in downtown Davis. Across the street from the hotel is a party venue that was very loud. They had music and Dj that were blasting until late into the evening.
We love staying here when we are in town visiting family. Wonderful staff, clean comfortable rooms, great breakfast, location.
Would highly recommend if coming to the Davis area
I did not have breakfast at the hotel, but we loved the location. Davis has a small, easily walked downtown, and we were able to see all of it on foot from the hotel.
