Corning is a small community and is the Paradise of Olives.
Corning is a small community and is the Paradise of Olives. If you're an Olive lover this is a must go to and stop. There are acres for miles of Olive trees. The Olive Pit is a bistro and gift shop for almost every kind of Olive you can find and other items. There's also a nice Casino down the interstate 4+ miles. A lot of fun if you enjoy that scene. Easy to get to. Also has a filling station, hotel, restaurants and mini mart. There's also fast food, hotels, filling stations and grocers in the town of Corning. Very nice locals. We will definitely plan more time in Corning next time we pass thru. Maybe find an Olive tour and other things we don't know exist there to experience.

I always stop in Corning whenever possible when I travel back and forth to Oregon to visit family. I'm absolutely addicted to The Olive Pit. Love their turkey burgers and am trying to drink my way through their extensive list of milkshakes. Beyond that I love shopping for olives, candies and fruit and other fun items in their store.

The Olive Pit in Corning has a wonderful olive tasting bar, and a wonderful wine tasting bar! What a great way to get acquainted with local agricultural and viticultural offerings! The casino has a great steakhouse! The New Clairvaux winery has beautiful scenery, fascinating history, and delicious wines, and the Woodson Bridge State recreation area offers shady picnicking and camping within walking distance of the feather river. The only concern I have is that this place will get discovered and I'll have to share it! :)
Toilet ran. I was able to jiggle the handle twice to stop it but not in the morning. Very basic but I was glad to get a room because almost everything was booked for fire fighters. Room may be scheduled for renovation, new style flooring was nice but bathroom was very dated. Very basic A/C.
The front desk was very communicative. The breakfast was really good as well. The noise above us at 1230 am wasnt that great but I know thats not the Hotels fault. So sleeping was on and off. But overall a nice stay and happy the air worked :)
it was nice. it would be nice for a couples get away. this was a death in the family. so it was a nice place to meet other family members have a nice dinner.
