If history interests you at all I highly recommend the free tour at the Bedford Visitors center. It is about one and half hours and it is every Friday at 3:30. Also recommend the Bedford Fall Foliage Festival with over 400 vendors. Only thing bad about the festival is the crowds.

On my latest trip I didn't go into the downtown itself, which I will try on a future visit, but I enjoyed dinner at the Jean Bonnet Tavern and took advantage of the longer daylight hours to drive there on some back roads. The hotel staff also recommended some downtown restaurants, which I hope to try next time.

take advantage of the water circuit. It's wonderful. Be aware if you use booking your remove may be miles from the spa. We literally stayed at one end and the spa was at the other.. a 6 min walk. The pool is also great - no outdoor yet due to the weather. Do the history tour, there's a lot of it here.

There was a lot of interesting historic architecture that I would like to have seen more of during my visit, and the people there were friendly and welcoming of an out-of-state visitor like me. They even gave me some tips that enhanced my experience—I couldn’t act on all of them this time, so I hope next time comes soon!

The town of Bedford is super cute with nice shops and restaurants to check out. There are some good self guided tour brochures that the local travel center puts out and a free tour every Friday afternoon during certain months. Wish I had more time there to do some of the hikes as well. Would definitely recommend it to someone looking to get away to a small town. They also have a ton of events there to check out.

We did get to Jean Bonnets Tavern twice which was great.
We did get to Jean Bonnets Tavern twice which was great. Got up to Ridgetop Orchards for great looking and tasting apples.
Parking was easy. The town is small but we spent a whole day driving around the area. lots of covered bridges but did not see all.
I arrived at night in December and this beautiful historic hotel was all lit up! They have a Tesla charging station and the Valet made sure my car was fully charged before I left. I had a very late dinner and early breakfast with room service and the staff and food were excellent. I enjoyed the many antique photographs that decked the walls. The town seems quaint with plenty to see and do. I only stayed one night because I was just passing through on a long road trip, but would like to stay again for a longer vacation with family.
It was a beautiful house with wonderful scenery. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. The home was extremely well equipped, and we loved all the spaces to hang out and share meals together. Also, it was close to downtown Bedford and other great tourist locations less than an hour away. We loved picking blackberries from the yard and watch baby birds in a nest on the property as well as visiting deer.
Very nice hotel with spacious clean rooms that has big comfortable beds. Big screen cable TV, frig, coffee maker and microwave. Very clean bathroom with plenty of towels and accessories.
Extremely friendly and helpfull staff.
Very decent breakfast in a nice breakfast room.
The whole family enjoyed the big clean heated swimming pole.
ALL in all we loved our stay in this hotel.
The rooms are in great condition and everything is well maintained. The bed is really comfortable and you can tell the owners take great care of the premises. It is a safe location. I would 100% recommend staying here, it is far superior in cleanliness, noise proof insulation, and comfort than many four star hotels I have visited. In addition, the price is fairly reasonable.
I didn't get to see if they had a breakfast, as the hotel wouldn't honor our confirmation, and said they didn't have a room, or something like that. I had trouble understanding what he was talking about.
A very basic Hotel in the heart of Bedford. Strengths are location and price. Weaknesses are amenities and ambience. However, the bed was comfortable oh, the room good size, and the shower worked well.
Lovely little hotel, well situated for the interstate and food places. Not one but two gas stations within yards! Receptionist was super efficient and hotel decor and rooms were immaculate.
I didn't like anything there .I was in room maybe 10minutes and left due to bedbugs and melipede in dresser drawer. I had to find another hotel. Only got refund for half of my money
I like having an outside room and the bed was comfortable. It was very close to the Bedford Speedway. It was also close to Sheetz, other restaurants and the turnpike.
