One of Eastern Europe’s oldest cities and the Ukrainian capital, Kiev is a hospitable city with plenty to offer: from its historical heritage to inspiring architecture and modern commerce centres. So jump on Kiev’s impressive metro and enjoy the ride!
The city features many places of worship with golden-domed and cave monasteries, orthodox churches and cathedrals. The most famous ones include the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, one of Ukraine’s most important monasteries and founded in 1077 by St Antoniy. The other is St Sophia’s Cathedral housing the world’s largest collection of frescoes and mosaics from the 11th century onwards.
Kiev is not only known for its sacred buildings; it is also very rich in the people’s history. Over 40 different museums are visited by millions of guests every year. It includes the Museum of the Great Patriotic War with a stunning, more than 100 metres high monument of Mother Motherland.
After a day of sightseeing, make sure you visit local bars and restaurants for a selection of Ukrainian cuisine: the delicious Borscht, pancake-like Mlyntsi or the unique Kvas, which is a brewed bread drink.
Whether you’re flying to Boryspil International or Zhulyany airports, the centre of Kiev is just a short ride away. With over 280 properties on offer, Booking.com has a selection of apartments and hotels near the airport and in the centre.
I loved how advanced and beautiful the city is… very nice 5...
I loved how advanced and beautiful the city is… very nice 5 stars eating plačeš and many fun plačeš too.. loved how affordable transport was using metro and buses and in general even with the war the city is still intact and safe. People exaggerate Kyiv to be a war zone but it really isn’t . Life is going on just fine 😍

Kiev is a world class city.
Kiev is a world class city. It is splendiferous and beautiful. Get there if you can. You will thank me. Be brave. Visit Kiev now..or wait until the nonsense ends and the hordes descend upon it, which will happen when commercial air service resumes.. Kiev will flower. The Ukraine is wonderful. Stand with Ukraine.

Tourist trap at Майдані Незалежності :(
But a lot of kind people everywhere.
I am sad I didn't have time to visit the left side of Dnipro.
Spent a lot of money in center for food :D
City transportation is very good!
Mobile applications Uklon for taxi and Glovo for food were very helpful.
I ate at Puzata hata at Kontraktova Ploscha and I loved!
I also ate at vegan ORANG+UTAN bar and have visited Druzhba café.

Kiev is a grandiose city you will hardly find similar scales...
Kiev is a grandiose city you will hardly find similar scales in central Europe. What makes it very special is the hills and for a viewing point you do not need to look for rooftops of restaurants or business centers - Kyiv can be viewed from a thousand angles from a height just by walking around it. It's especially interesting to know the historical context and to see a map of the city in the 11th century.

Not safe at the moment due to the current war with Russia.
Not safe at the moment due to the current war with Russia. Constant alarms of rockets flying by. Curfews at 23:00. Police will stop you and demand to see your passport and question you about the reason to be in ukraine. Walking after sunset can be dangerous, thieves might target your belongings. Make sure you carry medical insurance with evacuation. Make sure your insurance can provide immediate payment to emergency facilities otherwise you won't get any treatment. Or pay in cash in order to be treated.
This hotel has everything 4+star hotel should have:
kitchen, microwave, fridge, plates, cups, free tea-bags, slippers, air conditioning, big plasma monitor, big windows and beatiful view (7 floor), restaurant on the highest 11th floor, fan, shower, bidet, variety of gels, conditioners and shmpoo.
Normally, this level hotel costs much more, but it is only about 30 EUR per day.
Hotel staff is also friendly.
Nice place not so far from city center, small quiet street.
Amazing hotel with kind, friendly staff and very comfortable location.
Rooms are clean and cozy, I liked windows and my bed. I had everything I needed to rest and work: electricity, heating, WiFi, towels, bathrobe and slippers, etc.
A girl on the reception is awesome, she made my stay very pleasant! I liked her advice on how to park the car, where to buy food.
My recommendation for business trips or for tourists who are interested in the city center life.
An Ibis Hotel is an Ibis Hotel : consistently standard.
The service staff were friendly and welcoming in general. The room does its job, the wifi works, the bathroom is fine with both the heating and showers. The bed's fine. The location's perfect, it is right within the main train station and good for exploring both Kyiv or the surrounding area via metro or train.Very easy access to central station , walking only 1-2 min to every gate ! It was cool for me.
An exceptionally modern & spacious hotel, with all of the comforts & amenities you could hope for: minibar/ fridge, separate workspace, queen size bed, helpful 24/7 English-speaking receptionists, centrally located yet “tucked away” in a courtyard for added privacy & quiet. Very close to 4 & 5 star hotels at MUCH higher price points. Parking available for those that need (also a rarity in this part of Kyiv)
I've often stayed at Sky Loft during my Kyiv transits and all of my experiences thus far have been fantastic. The rooms are clean and modern and overlook the city center and as a consequence you'll most likely have a wonderful view out of the windows. Breakfast is fabulous as well. Some of the finest shopping complexes and gourmet restaurants are proximal to this hotel.
Quite nice hotel located close to city centre in a historic district. Nice surroundning of the building, landscape alley and St Andrew's Church nearby. The hotel staff was nice, breakfast quite OK, but nothing outstanding, room was clean and tidy with very comfortable bed. All in all great place to stay for couple of days.
The room was nice and clean, despite the fact that they were undergoing facade renovations.
The price for the room in the center of Kiev was among the best options. I stayed in other hotel for almost the same price but the conditions were so much worse.
Over all it was a pleasant stay.
The only good thing I have to say regarding this hotel is - the host was a nice and friendly person. It has a good location only if you are going to the US Embassy, and it was hard to get to the city center because the metro station was 15 mins away from it.
Great bar. Metro is just behind the hotel and lots of shops and restaurants are just around the corner. Not in the very city center but easy reachable by public transport. Fridge, hairdryer and free water in your room. I would come back!
I used to work in hotels and i know what is hospitality, and what i saw here is the best guest experience i ever seen for the past 10 years, all this happened by a professional receptionist (Marianna).
The Hotel is clean, the Decoration is from maybe 1990 but clean.
location ist gut you have Just 10 minutes walking to the City center Maidan.
By going back to Hotel is Upwards you need more Energy.
A great boutique hotel, close to the city center and very easy to reach. It costs about 2-3 dollars with Uber. You can reach the hotel by direct train from the airport. 25th floor view is great.
For that price in city center the hotel is totally okay! Staff was really nice, location is fantastic, the room was good for 3-star hotel. A little bit old but we knew it and it didn't bothered us.
Probably the worst Value for money hotel I’ve stayed at in Ukraine. There’s also nothing online indicating limited access to the spa and fitness Center which were reasons I chose this hotel.
The hotel has a great location, probably the best in Kiev in terms of view. The metro station is also very close, which was a big bonus. The breakfast was very good.
