The owners of this delightful historical gem, are incredibly gracious and welcoming. One’s every comfort is their pleasure, gladly. It might not be squeaky clean modern Scandinavian, but it is soul, real and scrumptious (also unforgettable)

Historic sites in town but not well presented - most buildings in the castle complex could only be viewed from outside.
Unable to find a good place to eat - no-one (including tourist information staff) able to think of a restaurant offering "Slovak' cuisine!

Nitra is a pleasant town, situated an hour bus ride away from the Slovak capital Bratislava. Nitra is important for Slovaks because of its history, Christian (sacral) architecture and of course, agricultural studies and trade fairs.
I was surprised to also see a Synagogue, which is in a very good condition. It has a unique Moorish and Art Nouveau style.
I recommend also a walk up the small hill to see the Calvary and enjoy the view at the whole Nitra.
There is a lovely vegan and vegetarian place (open only 11.00-14.00) in the Nitra centre on the Farska street, I ate their main course as well as falafels, delicious! Last but not least, it's good to go for a walk next to the nitra river, it's pleasant

A quiet, comfortable city for those who like a relaxing holiday. It is definitely worth a visit to the main historical attraction of the city - Nitryansky Grad. Very nice place with a long history. You can climb the tower, take a walk in the park and sit in a cafe with a wonderful view of the city.

It was a nice change to be in a city that had not been overrun by tourism. The pedestrian area had many restaurants/cafes and of the two we used the food was high quality and eating alfresco at 2200 hours was very pleasant. Pope John Paul II chose to visit Nitra - a good decision - a wonderful statue of him in the grounds of the castle and a brilliant view of the city from the cathedral bell tower. With the exception of the swimming pool complex in the park, probably not that interesting for children. There is a direct bus from Bratislava airport to Nitra which you should pre-book, especially on the return journey.

I visited Nitra on a business trip, but had the opportunity to spend some time exploring the town,
It is a lovely town with a good mixture of old and modern architecture, with the occasional 1950's Soviet inspired block dotted around. The Castle and Cathedral on top of the hill, are well worth a visit. as you get fabulous views over the surrounding countryside and the baroque interior to the cathedral is awe inspiring.
There are numerous places to eat in the town, all offering good value fro money
Wow, the host was super nice, she arrived exactly when we said we will arrive.
The house is very welcoming and organized to feel like home with toys for kids and all the needed stuff needed to cook.
All the appliances are brand new and easy to work with.
The house was super clean and organized well.
The location is very close to shopping malls and has a very convenient FREE parking.
This was our best host we had while staying in Slovakia.
Bottom line, we will surly come again.
This is a fantastic hotel right on the main square in Nitra. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was great. Our bed was very comfy. We enjoyed watching Nitra's festival and concerts right from our balcony overlooking the main square (July 3rd-5th). The hotel has a big parking lot for your car.
Look no further, this is the best hotel in town.
We loved our stay.
The apartment is beautiful! Just like the pictures. The facilities are new, really well equipped. You got everything you would need, hair dryier, vacuum, oven, pots and pans...
Feels just like home!
2mins from the city cetre, there are multiple stores a minute away.
Would definitely stay again!
We loved our stay! The apartment was spacious, comfortable and in a convenient location. The hosts were easy to reach if we had questions and checked in with us throughout our stay. We visit family in Nitra often, and will definitely stay here again in the future!
The hotel was very welcoming and homey. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and with an exceptionally large balcony. The mini bar prices were cheap, the staff was lovely, and the hotel was pet friendly. We were very satisfied overall.
There is a bar in the hotel which allows smoking. There is a terrible smoke smell at reception and you can also smell it on the first floor at breakfast . I think its against the law to smoke inside in Slovakia
The host is great, beds could be a little more comfortable ( pillows and mattress).
The location is also good. 5 mins away from a bus that needs 14 mins to arrive at nitra city center/bus station.
The apartment was clean and the kitchen had basic needs, including a few spices including salt, which was appreciated. It was reasonable close to the city center. Host spoke English well.
- Superb location.
- Nice hotel staff.
- Ample breakfast.
- The room had a nice, calm atmosphere.
- Good price for its quality.
- Better shower than in 90% of the hotels I've been to.
Very hospitable receptionist. Good price. They try hard to keep the hotel clean, despite being old and worn down. Breakfast was pretty modest but good for the price.
Great breakfast, very nice rooms. Excellent wine selection. Parking is 25m from the Hotel, be sure to check it upfront so you dont have to get out of the car twice.
++ hotel is right in the city center
+++ the staff was extremely nice
++ the room was oriented to inner courtyard, so it was pretty quiet even during rush hours
Everything was really good, perfect communication with Marek, easy to get the keys.
The flat is really spacious and comfortable, not far from the city center.
I liked the design of the hotel. It was very clean, beautiful view from the window and nice employees. Good location, 20 min walk from the city center.
