Very clean city, polite drivers, calm and warm people, great prices for touristic objectives and souvenirs.
Breb, Săpânța, Sighetul Marmației, Creasta Cocosului were some of the visited locations and they did not disappoint at all, worth a second and third and forth trip :)
I ate in Baia Mare at La Pălincie and at Millennium La Tour, food extremely good, very fast serving, very nice waiters and experience.
It's easy to get around Baia Mare, it's not a very big city, Waze always helps :)
The Mocănița trip was nice also, but too long and very bumpy on the way back. 2 hours one way, 1.5 hours break, then 2 more hours back, traveling with 10-13 km/h. This I would not do again, but I do not regret the experience, it's worth going once!

After the Satu Mare, the Baia Mare was a pleasant surprise.
After the Satu Mare, the Baia Mare was a pleasant surprise. Very nice town with beautiful museums, excellent modern gallery, small planetarium, a tranquil city park with enormous trees... Local product and food are good and really chip. Baia Mare area also offers a lot: a bit of history and tradition, excellent traditional food even for vegetarians (boletus mushroom f.e.), hikes, unusual rok and mountain formations... a We found magic trout farm with a restaurant in Mara village- Pastrvaria Alex - must visit if you are in the area! We loved our short stay there, it was an absolute positive surprise, we plan to return.
The apartment (ground floor) is located in a quiet area (we barely saw/heard the neighbours).
It has everything needed for a short stay and we've enjoyed our stay in Baia Mare.
The parking spaces are free (not reseverd/paid) and usually the close ones are ocuppied by the neighbours but you can find free spots if you go around and enter the street behind the building.
There is a Profi shop very close if you use the sideway between the buildings.
Accommodation was very clean, the host very friendly and helpful. There are 2 bathrooms which is very helpful. The main bathroom has a beautiful big shower. The host made sure that everything is available in the house.
The location is close to the city centre and has free private parking available.
The apartment's design is very nice, tasteful, and has very nice touches.
I definitely recommend this place for your stay in Baia Mare.
We had an excellent stay in Codruta's apartment. The apartment is new, spacious, modern and very clean, and the host is super welcoming and helped us with all the necessary information for a pleasant stay and to visit the city of Baia Mare. Also the host was very nice and we were able to check in at a late hour. Thank you very much for everything! We will return every time with great pleasure!
The host was very friendly and communicative. She helped us with everything we need and request.
The apartment is perfectly clean and designed with a lot of good taste. The host was paying attention to every small detail.
The location is the best one in Baia Mare: 5 minutes walk to the city old square center and near the best two parks in the town,
A centrally located hotel next to Liberty Square and close to the other attractions of Baia Mare. The hotel is new and the rooms are very pleasant and spotless.
Breakfast was great with lots of different choices of cheeses, salami, and juices.
Coffee was great.
The staff was very friendly.
Highly recommended.
I am a regular client to this hotel and for me it is what I need: value for money, decent bed, decent bathroom and a small parking available as well where you should be able to find a place most of the time. Not very far away from Vivo Mall if you do not mind a 10-15 min walk.
The hotel is placed near downtown with a beautiful terrace at the river side.
Area is quiet and peaceful without interfering with the traffic from the
center of the town. The hotel crew was incredible helpful.
The breakfast was perfect and from natural products.
The buffet breakfast was very good quality and the hosts very quickly refilled everything we've run out of. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet street but only 2 minutes walk from the main square.
Great stay, very comfortable feeling staying in the hotel Rivulus, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and highly professional, very nice breakfast
and excellent value for money😁👍☀️
everything was fantastic, especially the front desk was very smooth with all our needs. and the hotel is located in a nice & quiet place, the room and the bathroom was very clean.
The house is spacious, clean and with all supplies/comforts, it is located in a very central position (5min walking distance to Baia Mare). I would absolutely recommend it
Everything new. Very good taste. Under-floor heating that heated the room quick. Exceptional bed. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and airbnbs, and I rate this one as a 10.
Amazing staff. Amazing location. Amazing breakfast. Plentiful parking. Home away from home. The next time we visit Baia Mare, we will definitely stay at Hotel Urban.
Veeery nice hotel and a lovely staff. Super close to the old town square market, restaurants, and cafes. Highly recomend staying there if you are ever in Baia Mare.
