I loved staying in Koror, the people are very friendly and the nature is superb. It is however very expensive and it is not easy to find places where you can hit the water to swim or kayak - without going on a tour or staying on a expensive hotel.

It's a good place with lots of lovely areas to visit. Great for diving, snorkeling and kayaking. Although there are lots of dive sites it is hard to find dive shops that will take you to wrecks. Most of them go to the most famous dive sites every day (Blue hole, German channel etc) Some good restaurants too such as The Cove, The Drop Off, Fisherman's Grill and Elilai.

A gorgeous island where the people are welcoming.
A gorgeous island where the people are welcoming. I wish I had seen more of it. We were on a dive trip. We had a incredible time but we were so tired at the end of each day our last day we decided to rest and stay at the hotel, The Cove, witch was beautiful and relaxing.

If you are looking for a snorkelling paradise the Palau is the place. I’ve been to a number of South Pacific Islands and this is certainly one of the best. Its extremely safe and has a laid-back Island feel.
The snorkelling is first class and the jelly fish trip is a must. We went on our tours with Fish and Fins Diving, they exceeded our expectations, very professional and great to deal with
The staff was great and very helpful. It's a big room with a living room, the bedroom and a kitchen at the back. It was great to have a fridge for drinks and snacks. There is a restaurant on site with good food and friendly staff. Lots of places are still closed due to COVID but we did find a few places where the locals eat near the hotel. There is a mini mart a short walk from the hotel with almost everything you need. The Palau Royal Resort is a short walk away with a great Sunday brunch and a $10 USD day pass the use the pool and beach.
Spacious room. Location very good. Various range of Restaurants and supermarkets all withinin 10 min walk. Friendly staff whilst still self catering yet hotel services too
Provided ideal home facilities access whilst still enjoying hotel services -pot pan, hob mini oven grill, microwave, fridge, kettle iron etc. Seasoning, oil, cleaning material.
Also gave free late check out, which was very kind as flight was in the evening. Very organised and communication was very efficient.
INCREDIBLE!! Every bit of it was STELLAR!! our hosts, Godiva and Jerome were hospitable, kind and very responsive from the reservation making to everything and anything we needed during our stay including rides to/from the airport! Breathtaking views and fun for all!! Location was fantastic!! close to town but secluded for an escape!! The windows and glass doors are phenomenal!! The play area was perfect for us and our kids and even family yo visit!! I highly recommend them!!
Amazing hotel in Palau. First of the hotel is very comfortable, beautiful, clean and cozy. The staff truly deserves to be recognized for their amazing hospitality, kindness, and professionalism.
The breakfast which is included is very complete and fresh. It is a huge plus to have this additional service included. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable.
Overall, after staying here for 10 nights, I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Great experience.
We visited Palau in August 2023. We stayed in Koror at Shell Villa apartel resort. We definitely recommend this hotel. The rooms are spacious, very clean and equipped with all necessary facilities. Location very good. The transfer from the airport is very short and you can get to the city center on foot. Most importantly, very polite and helpful staff. Open to all guests' needs and requests. If we visit again, we will definitely choose the same hotel
Ngermid Oasis is in a great off the beaten path location in Palau. The owner is super helpful and responsive. She helped arrange transfers to and from the airport and to restaurants downtown. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood in the morning and afternoons. It has a great pool and kitchenettes in the 2 units we rented. It was perfect for us to stay before and after our liveaboard trip so we will definitely be back.
The location in Koror is great for access to restaurants, tours, etc.
The beach and pool are great for the kids. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed in the renovated rooms and the interior was modern and comfortable.
My family of 6 was very happy with the resort, and we'll certainly consider it when we return to Palau.
Great location. A semi-funky boutique hotel, the kind I prefer over the too large/too loud types. the breakfast was unusual - "dinner for breakfast" most of the time. But there was great variety and it was tasty. The front desk staff are super nice and helped with any requests (an iron, calling a taxi, finding a rental car, etc.)
The room was very good value for money, with it being self contained and a comfortable bed. For me the hotel was in a great location half way between the town centre and the diving operators. Stephanie the manager was very friendly and helpful. The room and building was clean and also close to a number of restaurants.
the staff is honest and they see their shortfalls. however they are not being supported by the Palau regulations. these guys need support and the Palau government needs a serious talking to. the place has tremendous potential which is not utilised due to all the restrictions put on them.
really a beautiful place!! away from the uninteresting town, but with easy shuttle services. magnificent views! very kind, friendly and helpful staff. if you want a nice hideaway in Palau, go here. (if you want a big facility and a swimming pool etc, go elsewhere.)
The people who work at the reception always take care of our young son and it really makes us happy. We have found here all the essentials expected of this hotel. Of course, the price cannot be different from the quality of service, so we also feel satisfied.
Overall experience is ok. Front desk staff isn’t too friendly nor helpful. Only one restaurant is opened but the food is quite decent. Room’s quite old, not great for the value, but it’s prob the best hotel in town.
Breakfast was very good, especially eggs to order. Just a great place to stay in Palau. 5-star experience at 3-star prices. Palau's new taxes are outrageous and I am concerned they will drive down tourism
