Vila do Condo upon first sight looks nice. It’s on the river and the square with the flowers is really nice. Once you go out of the square and into the town you see that it is very run down and unkept. The local youths didn’t take kindly to our accompanying teenage football team and on one evening chased a group of them out of town threatening violence towards them. This is one location I will not return to

Vila do Conde is a pretty town on the coast.
Vila do Conde is a pretty town on the coast. Easy to get to from Porto on the Metro. We also had a day out to Povoa de Varzim on the metro which is just a couple of stops away.
Vila do Conde has a few interesting museums relating to its history and development. Lots of opportunities to walk, a number of beaches and plenty of restaurants and bars, a great place for a short break in the sunshine.

The places we liked most in Vila do Conde were: a) the top of the hill with an old monastery and the 16th century aqueduct (2nd longest in Portugal), with a great view of the historic center; b) a truly wonderful restaurant -- REPUBLICA -- at 83 Praca da Republica, both food and service were great, and the interior is very pleasant; and c) within a 3-minute walk from the restaurant the Naval Construction Museum and a replica of a ship outside from the Age of Discoveries.

This is more of a guest house .
This is more of a guest house . It is above a bistro, There was no breakfast and when bistro was closed no one to provide assistance. The location is excellent across the street from the river with access to walk to shore. Staff was friendly and helpful when available. We chose it as it is on the coast north of Porto and close to the airport. Room and bed were small, but comfortable. We stayed only one night so it met our needs. Interesting town to explore.

Great little town, seems to have a lot to offer if you like quiet little towns. Not too built up, nice small town feel to it. We didn't have time to explore much - yet - but will definitely come back
Everything , had an amazing view and the hotel on it own was just beautiful and very well kept. Most definitely what I was expecting and more , looked exactly like the pictures presented which was great . The food from the restaurant was exceptional , my partner had the duck and truth be told it was the best duck he has ever eaten and I agree as I also had a taste . The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful with any query you may have and there is always some one present at the reception desk so you are not left waiting to be assisted.
The guest house is in a perfect location in Vila do Conde, in the centro but just off a quiet square. You can walk to everything in a few minutes, but it is very quiet at night. Emanuel is an amazing host and has stocked the apartment with the basics like toilet paper, coffee, sugar, etc. He also gave us a welcome gift of wine and cheese which was such a nice touch! The beds are extremely comfortable, and the linens are of high-quality. The apartment was spotless!
We were greeted by a very friendly host, Helena, who was also in charge of preparing the breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious, enough electrical outlets (the most of all rooms on our trip), a bit old fashioned bedding, hard mattress as common in Portugal. We liked the breakfast room, and good selection of food. The hotel is situated conveniently to OPO airport, still quiet and has a touch of country athmosphere
Rui met me at the property. It was a delightful place with plenty of room. A gorgeous view of the ocean and just across from a promenade that went for miles. As it was off-season, it was quiet. Near some restaurants and close to Lidl. An easy walk to the Friday market. Great host and great stay. I think this is one of the top 3 places I've stayed in Portugal over the years!
Excellent location near the river and great restaurants and as a bonus right on the El Camino The architectural design is very creative combining the new and modern interior while preserving the very old exterior. The owners created a very comfortable space in what normally would seem challenging. That alone is a reason to visit.
Lovely spacious apartment very close to the sea. It is not a staged Airbnb but rather living like authentic Portuguese do. Margarida and her mom who greeted us at the check in and came at the check out were such a delight and sooooo helpful!! Meeting people like them reminds us why we love Portugal so much! Muito obrigada!!
Thought the place was very cute and comfortable. We loved the beachy design and colors of the hotel making you feel like your in a private beach house. We loved it's location, being right next to the water, garden, and great resturants.
Room is spacious, bed is comfortable, staff are very friendly. Easy to check-in and out. Also booked an airport taxi easily for 5am. Breakfast is good. Room is generally quiet and overall I would really recommend this hotel.
We stayed here for day 1 of our Camino . Nice and clean ! And a great little beach bar and pizza place across the street. Perfect for our tired feet as we didn’t have to walk but a few hundred yards to the beach !
They were very welcoming and kind. We asked for a table outside during the check-in and they prepared it for us just before the dinner time, it was lovely. I liked the people and the food as much as the hotel
Very spacious, really well equipped, everything working perfectly, pleasant location in a fishing community between Vila do Conde and Povoa de Varzim - with an actual sea view. We loved the place!
We were greeted by extremely helpful and friendly staff. The hotel lobby and room were very modern, and good value for money. The location is great, close to the beach and town.
The staff were great, so personable , family business vibe, absolutely loved them. Great clean hotel, a brilliant location, will definitely visit again.
