The staff were unbelievable. They felt incredibly warm and genuine, and went out of their way to help us. My friend has a gluten and lactose intolerance, and they not only provided warm gluten-free bread and oat milk, but also asked if we would be staying another night so they could have it ready and waiting for us the next day. Such a lovely considerate touch.
Special mention also to the lady on reception, who made us feel like family, after a long and tiring day.

People were very friendly/helpful and the place looked very nice with nice décor. Bed was super nice and comfortable and the cleaning was done every day impeccably. Common kitchen space was a very nice/useful space.

Setubal is not a big city but it is quite lively. There are plenty of restaurants and bars and a lot to explore. The tourist information is great for advice and bookings. It is recommended to visit the national park, the Troia peninsula is good for a stroll and dolphin watching is great.

There is a variety of activities here.
There is a variety of activities here. Parts of the city are in decline, common in many Portugal cities, but likewise there are other areas that are very nice. We are seniors, 67 yo, and we walked everywhere, even at night, to restaurants, and felt quite safe. The main area of Avenida Luiza Todi has many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants with a variety of cuisines. Nice grocery Pingo Doce right there. Very helpful Tourism Office. There are a couple Museums, working waterfront, and a linear park through the center of the city with cafes, sculptures, benches and fountains. Some wonderful plazas and squares.
A short drive to a beautiful beach, and a mountaintop National Park, with hiking and fantastic views. We drove over this and visited wineries to taste wine. A very nice area less hectic than some areas of Lisbon, just 1/2 hour away.
Setùbal has an absolutely amazing public market on the Avenida Luiza Todi. We were only here for three nights, but could have found more to do with a longer visit.

I stayed three nights and that was perfect length to do a trip outside and see the city and castle and try some fresh grilled fish on the restaurants. Go to Setubal to experience a little rough side of Portugal for budget travellers it is also less expensive than many other cities in Portugal. For golfers stay in Setubal, Troia Island were very sleepy after 18.00.

I must admit, I'm torn between sharing the secret of Setúbal's beauty and wanting to keep this gem all to myself. The stunning beaches, delectable food, breathtaking views, and warm-hearted locals are like treasures I'd like to hoard. However, if you decide to visit Setúbal, just savor the experience as I do every time I'm there, and you'll understand why I'm so reluctant to let go of this hidden paradise.

Check was really easy.
Check was really easy. Entrance hall is nice but room lacked some soul- no pictures or colour etc. Shower was tired but it was clean. Slightly out of town, and up a hill, we were fine as fit bit disabilities might struggle. It did the job as it was a 1 night stop off.

Anyone driving to Setubal needs to know that they have recently introduced a zonal parking system and there is little long stay parking available.
Apart from this we found Setubal to be a beautiful City with loads of lovely parks, riverside promenades, narrow streets with plenty of small squares and a surprising amount of street entertainment, including fire-eaters. On top of this the nearby Beaches are outstanding
Great location, cute clean apartment. Wonderful hosts - responsive and helpful with an immediate check in request. I had originally booked another place and when I arrived there I didn't feel safe staying. Setúbal CityCenter Studios was very helpful in getting me checked in within an hour of my booking. I was very happy with the level of cleanliness, comfort of the bed and the vibes in general. Would definitely book again.
The owners were lovely and very chatty. Had a nice talk over breakfast.
The bubble was a new experience that I've never had before. It was nice to fall asleep to the stars.
Still a bit to early in the season to try out the pool but I put my feet in and it looks lovely.
It's a bit out of the way but only €20 taxi from setubal. Nice area around to explore.
Good breakfast with lots of options.
The location is perfect for a quick walk to the port or the market. The room had some extra things we haven't encountered in any other place in Portugal, for example the bathroom had some emergency call buttons (we fortunately didn't need to use them) and there was a sanitary kit waiting for us in the room with face masks and a small bottle of hand sanitizer. Very thoughtful!
The converted windmill, high up on the hillside above Setubal, has outstanding views across the sea towards Troia. The mills (there are two) have been thoughtfully converted and feel cosy and homely. You have the sense of being surrounded by nature and there is easy walking on your doorstep - including a small Roman road. The host was very helpful with local information.
Breakfast was really good with fresh quality food and a decent variety. Service was excellent. We had a great dinner at the restaurant, the for was delicious and the service outstanding.
The hotel is very well located, in the countryside with a big forest nearby, but close enough to the city of Setubal to where you can drive in 8 minutes.
Great central location is Setubal. On street car parking adjacent the hotel. Super friendly and professional staff from reception to check out the team were exceptional. Room was good size, super clean and well decorated. Breakfast vouchers for cafe next door worked well - a good selection of items on the menu. Overall - excellent!
A lovely, spacious flat with just about everything one might need - including a washing machine.
The centre of the pleasant town of Setubal is just a short walk away. You need a car to reach the beaches of Arrabida but the drive is well worth it. We always managed to get a parking space near the flat.
My family enjoyed this property and could not be happier with our stay. Liseta made everything easy and provided ideas for things to do and see around the area. The apartment is in a great location and was a perfect start to our Portugal vacation. We would definitely stay at Cafofos da Zeta again.
After experiencing a let down with a hotel that we had already booked, we booked this hotel at the last minute and we are sooo glad we did. They staff was amazing, the food was excellent and we had a great time walking the grounds and enjoying the quiet. Highly recommend!!
It was Immaculate. Lovely hotel with a bar and restaurant, close to the Government office we had to see the next day. Great breakfast included. Garage parking but tight fit getting in and out. Very nice staff who all spoke English. Just a lovely place and very reasonable.
The owner was very helpful and worked hard to get the room cleaned after previous guests had left it in a mess. We really liked the area and it was a good place to get the ferry to Lisbon from. The host was nice. It’s very basic not a place to stay in other than to sleep.
Hotel ideally located to get to know Setubal, the center is very close (10 min walk). The breakfast is very plentiful and varied. Our room on the seventh floor was quiet and with a very comfortable bed, the bathroom had a tub and great toiletries.
Staff were friendly and helpful, bed was cozy and the hotel was quiet even though it was quite full. The location was convenient for us as it is right off the national road and we had to get to the airport early the next day.
We stayed at Ibis Setubal just for one night to be closer to the airport in Lisbon the next day. So all we needed was a room for one night and Ibis is perfect for that. Clean, small room and perfect value for money.
The nicest lodging and friendliest people thus far in our stay in Portugal. The hosts had a lot of recommendations and even made the sofa bed when we left to explore the town. Would stay here again! I recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, made particularly memorable by the attentive staff. As parents, we appreciated when the staff provided us with milk for our little child, which we had forgotten to bring.
