The hotel feels so clean and has an air of relaxation about it. The family showed great hospitality, made delicious food, and we were even lucky to be invited to a dinner party with their friends and family.
It was delightful to meet their elder son Sagar, who was also extremely hospitable, was a very interesting partner for conversation, speaks great English, and answered many of our questions and explained many things about Nepal that nobody else was able to explain to us on this trip.

I stayed at Aashish/Suzu/Aama's place for over a month. It's now already weeks ago since I had to leave, but I still have to think about that place a lot. I can only share good memories. The incredible kindness, the great food, the deep talks as well as joking around will stay in my head forever. I can only recommend the place.

The hotel is right in the centre, very convenient for all things to do. The staff was very helpful with planning transportation and very ready to fulfil any wishes. Breakfast was great, sitting in the garden during morning time was a real pleasure.

Having stayed in most of the class hotels in Kathmandu in the past like Hilton , Yak & Yeti, Holiday inn etc., we would choose following four factors which are outclassed others and have excited us the most :
1. Excellent staff - Extra courteous , energetic, proactive and humble staff in front desk, restaurant and room services particularly we would like to specifically appreciate (whose names we remember) Ms. Priya, Mr.Bivek, Mr. Aman, Ms. Maujl apart from others (Whose name we do not remember),These are some of the gem of staff, who in our opinion an asset to the hotel.
2. Excellent Food-The Food in the restaurant is excellent and worth praising. The taste whether continental or Indian or local is quite tasty . We would specifically appreciate the services of Chef on duty on 21st May ,2024 night (The name we are forgetting)
3. Excellent Location- The location of the property is in Thamel ,the most happening place in Kathmandu The main market of Kathmandu is just few meters away.
4. Excellent Cleanliness- The rooms are quite clean and are by the staff at all times.

We really liked the flexibility of the staff, constantly adapting to what we wanted and what we needed
We had to cancel our safaris because we were sick, and they were really comprehensive about that, trying to negotiate the best cancellation conditions for us
About the hotel: spacious rooms with confortable beds!
We can definitely recommend a stay at the Yambu hotel!

The location, the hospitality and going out of the way for assistance won our hearts.
Rajendra bhaiya ( as he took us in as his sisters) is an amazing host and made us feel at home with his warm gestures.
We'll certainly suggest his accommodation for a happy trip!

Kirtipur is a town outside of the city, about 5km away so costs about 500 rupees to taxi to the city during the day. At night the cost can vary between 700-900 rupees.
The town is a local town so you see very real Nepalese life. Local shops only but it has a range of temples and you can travel to Patan, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur very easily in a local taxi or motorbike.
As it is outside of the city, it is very cheap to eat and drink. Here you will see very real local life, market selling on the roads by night and children heading to school in the days.
Taxis are available all the time.
You have a mountain range view from the town and the sunsets are very pretty over the local mountain range.

I liked to stay in Kirtipur because it was close to the city, but much more calm, less polluted and more enjoyable to walk around, because we could see green areas and beautiful landscapes.
There are places that we must visit: Sasa Restaurant to try good newari food and listen live music and Eliz cafe to taste delicious banana loaf or cinnamon roll.
It is easy to walk around kirtipur and you can visit some temples, stupa, suspension bridge and the university by walking.
