Very cute cottage in an outstanding location. There was a walk to a glacier from the property which was breathtaking. Self contained had every necessary amenity. We had a lovely dinner onsite too, delicious home cooked meal.

I didn’t even want to talk or go online)) Even the incessant rain did not dampen our mood. I just wanted to enjoy this beauty around me.
In the morning there was a cruise ship in front of us.

It was the best stay during our roadtrip in Norway (though not the cheapest).
Spacious cabin, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bed.
Great view of the mountains, which we enjoyed from the big terrace.
We used a kajak and a boat that is included in the price, and we also enjoyed the grilling right next to the lake.
The shared showers were always very clean.

I stayed in a basic hut and the facilities were exactly as I expected for this type of accommodation in Norway (basic bed, shared bathroom etc.). My comments are based on this kind of accommodation and not a luxury hotel. I was ski mountaineering and the location was great for this. It was sunny and warm when I was there during the day and the outside space was nice to come back to. The communal kitchen was well set up (remember you need your own plates and utensils). The owner is a well-travelled local who is incredibly knowledgeable on the local activities and high mountain routes. She was great to talk to and I think most guests seemed to be finding things to talk to her about. I would give her 11 out of 10!
