It was very comfortable. I was greeted cheerfully and the room was excellent. There are "honesty drinks" in fridges in the hallway. The breakfast was excellent and all ready for me. I would definitely return. The property is a little distance outside the local town but offers a peaceful outlook.

If you are visiting the area, there is no better place to stay. The garden area in the B&B is gorgeous, the breakfast is fantastic, and Geert-Jan and Leo are the kindest and most caring people you could ever find. Highly recommended.

Incredible value for money and exceeded our expectations. Although the bathroom facilities are shared they are extremely clean and well equipped. This was the perfect stop not far from the EuroVelo 4 route and ideal for cycle touring. Pieter was really friendly and also helped us to wash our kit in their laundry room which is a big plus when travelling by bike. We could also store our bikes safely in their shed. Would definitely stay again and recommend Gasthuys de Peel for other cyclists.

The room was gorgeous, expensive looking with nice little touches that felt very at home there. Coffee and tea facilities and mini fridge made the stay even more like a home from home. There is a waterfall shower which was amazing. The ultimate in comfort though and the best part was the bed. Not just the tiny Tony's chocolates on the bed but OMG the bed is so comfy with memory foam and the quilt so luxuriousl it felt like sleeping in a cloud, we loved it the best sleep we had in this trip.

This former Penitent monastery is situated in a renovated, monumental building in the heart of Weert. The hotel is situated nearby the main A2 highway as well as the Belgian border.
