The huge, well maintained and daily cleaned pool was an absolute treat and pleasure to use, especially as it gets so hot during the day. The owner and his daughter were super kind and helpful and know all about the ancient sites and mystical history of Anuradhapura. Thanks to their knowledge and guidance, i got to visit enchanted places in and around Anuradhapura no travel guide tells you about✨💫 The whole team at the hotel is very friendly and caring. The room had AC and got everything i needed. Very good value for money, i would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed three wonderful nights at the guesthouse. The room was good, with good beds, a good shower and some extras like a table, several chairs and a rack to hang your cloth. Good airco too. Wonderful owner and his wife, who did everything to make you feel comfortable. They arranged a safari for us in Wilpattu, on our request, and they did that in a honest and efficient way, without trying to get something out of it for themselves. Very reliable and friendly service.

    I have just stayed for a day because I didn’t want to spent around 25 dollars for the ancient cite. But I have walked around and prayed in Siri Maha Bodhi Tree area which is a massive and fascinating place! I have visited some other places such as Isurumuni Royal Temple and even sat down in front of the meditation stone and meditated there for a bit and it’s a very chanting place to be!

    The old city and temple complex is huge and takes a long time to walk around. In many parts you are not allowed to wear shoes or hats, so if you don’t want burnt feet, take some socks and wear sunscreen and carry water.

    1) No hot water in the shower.

    1) No hot water in the shower. 2) A whirring / drilling noise that kept me up all night, perhaps coming from one of the hotel pumps / generators from above. When I enquired about this at reception I was told that “the hotel was full” and my questions as to what it could be were rebuffed with a “goodnight”. 3) There were no batteries in the remote for the tv. 4) Which didn’t make much difference as the tv didn’t work anyway when I swapped out the batteries for the air con. 5) The air con worked but didn’t turn down meaning that I had to constantly turn it on and off. 6) The swimming pool had safety issues in that the side of the pool had a suction hole which sucked people in if they got close. Thankfully it was only me that discovered it and not the kids. 7) our drivers quarters were full of cockroaches and he was asked to give up his fan for a “guest” half way through the night.

    It’s a cultural centre but also a real living city, the hosts introduced us to people and we ate at a nice restaurant for ‘locals’. Joining our guide for a temple evening was a surprise and wonderful. The old railway buildings are interesting and watching a monitor lizard strolling down the street was very cool. And of course the ancient city - unmissable. Honestly I’d rather stay here than rush off to the beach.

    The hotel was really nice. The rooms were really cozy, clean and the bathroom was excellent. The location was also quite easy to access, close to town & the train station and plenty of cheap places to eat around the hotel area. There was a lot of mosquitoes, but the hotel staff do a lot to keep them away so it's not a bother. They rent out bikes also which is cool, but didn't use it. Also if you need a tuktuk to take you on a tour of the sites they know a great tuktuk guy who was great!

    Nice, modern style hotel 10 minute tuk tuk from the ancient city. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views over rice paddy fields. Great size pool which has sun all day - perfect for relaxing after visiting the temples. Restaurant served nice sri lankan breakfast and reasonable dinner menu. Staff were laid back and willing to help. There is a small convenience shop next door and is ten mins walk down a main road from a couple of local restaurants.

    The hotel is quite new and well maintained, with a great pool and nice rooms at a very fair price. We were able to easily rent bicycles which can be recommended for visiting the temples and historical sites. The host couple tries very hard to make your stay pleasant. Even in this difficult time for the people in Sri Lanka, the interaction was extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast can also be highly recommended. All in all a great experience, clear recommendation.

    What a find. If your visiting Anuradhapura to spend a couple of days temple visiting then this hotel is ideal for a base and somewhere to relax after a few hours in the sun walking around the sites Its perfect to sit back and relax by the pool with a cold beer and recharge your batteries A word of warning do not order to much food...the portions are huge and are enough for 2 people to share...I would strongly recommend staying at Saliya Gardens if you visit Anuradhapura

    The Myro homestay is the ideal place to stay if you’re going to Anuradhapura. The view is stunning and the room was perfect: clean, good bed, AC. They also helped us with booking a temple tour and the wilpattu Safari. The lady who organised everything, did it perfectly and was very friendly. And on top of all this, the food is very good too. Nice breakfast en delicious dinner. 10/10 would recommend this place.

    Great location when on tour. Excellent stay being hosted by the loveliest couple in Sri Lanka Johnny and his beautiful wife. Welcomed us with tea. We had a small issue with the downstairs room so he immediately moved us upstairs and gave us an extra fan. Great beds. Breakfast was THE BEST on our entire vacation. Home cooked authentic Sri Lankan food. Driver rooms also. Let the hot water warm up first. Enjoy!

    The host Pradeep and his wife are exactly how you expect a host. Perfect frindly and always happy to help. The hotel is perfect clean 10/10. Cleanest hotel I stayed for a long time! The stuff definitely makes a good job! You can rent a bicycle at the hotel. Super easy to get to ancient city and get around in generell. If I come back to Anuradhapura I will choose this hotel again!

    Everything was so good, and the owner was very kind and very supportive. The location was lil bit away from the main road, but the location was very calm without any distractions. Kitchen stuff is good and included all the equipment and can be use with some extra charge. Rooms were very clean, tidy and spacious. Overall, everything was perfect and stayed for 2 days.

    we had a good stay at this hotel. The owner is amazing and kind. He will try to arrange evertything for you and help wherever he can. the rooms are clean and simple. Even though the crisis here at the moment made most tourists stay away, I am very happy we stayed in this clean, cosy hotel nearby the hotspots of Anuradhapura.

    First hotel in Sri lanka and it's by far our favorite. Family business, the owner is really friendly, speaks good english and gives you lots of informations to do at Anuradhapura.     It is a good location to reach the Anuradhapura ancient city and the town area. Staff were friendly and attentive. We only had dinner at the hotel and it was good. They served warm food in farely large portions.
