I loved everything about this property. The yummy pizza! The beautiful location. Amazingly relaxing pool! But best of all were our hosts! They are an incredibly kind and welcoming family and I simply did not want to leave! They made us fire pits whenever we wanted, set up a projector for us to watch a movie, shared meals with us and when they found out it was my birthday they quickly put together a watermelon tiered cake! I am so grateful for this stay, it felt like home <3

Pretty rooms with nice common areas, excellent service, quiet area at night. The family is so lovely and go above and beyond to help out guests. Wifi some of the best I've had during travels, I was really surprised. I teach online and had the best wifi connection I've had in Cambodia. Highly recommended for digital nomads. Good water pressure, good aircon, good coffee, comfortable bed. In between the bungalows are cute patio setups with table and stools, it was so nice to sit out here in the morning and have coffee. They have several adorable cats, if you are a cat person, you will love this place. They rent motorbikes and it's a few minutes drive into town. While I was there, they were finishing building a sort of rooftop bar, nice for working as well and gets a nice breeze. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come again.

Good stopover on my way to see elephants in Mondulkiri. It was in a perfect location in the center of town, walking distance to everything. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy. I had a good night of rest here.

Loved our stay at the Nature Lodge where we ate great food at the onsite restaurant. We had one full day trip sightseeing around Sen Monorom and surrounds where we went to a local Coffee Plantation for lunch which was higher in price for food (close to Australian prices) but very delicious, walked through local farms, Bou Sra Eco Park where we saw Bou Sra waterfall which I would recommend, the Sea Forest Lookout was a fun way to watch the sunset while taking cheesy touristy photos, and Sunset Hill/Phnom Do Kramom which gave us a beautiful panorama of Sen Monorom. A highlight of my entire Cambodian trip was the 2-Day jungle trek with the Mondulkiri Project which I would 100% recommend as an ethical ecotourism project which gives back directly to land conservation, supporting a local Indigenous village and the rescue and safe keeping of elephants which have been removed from previously unethical working backgrounds which endangered them. The town had everything we needed when visiting but didn't spend much time around the markets or town centre to be able to comment. Very easy to get a tuk tuk to get around and buses travel to and from major towns and cities daily.

We stayed at Sumeru Bungalows which was great, before visiting Mondulkiri Project to see some elephants in the wild and do a 1.5km trek through the jungle. As we're older travellers (50s-60s) we found some of the trek v challenging but it was worth it. Sleeping in hammocks was tough but doable for one night! Could be a bit more vegetarian food, boiled rice and plain vegetables was a bit light on for the level of activity, but the overall experience was incredible. Worth a visit for sure!

We were in Sen Monorom for 3 nights and 3 nights nearby in the Elephant Valley Project, retired elephant sanctuary which is an experience unto itself. 3 nights was plenty for us to see the sights around the city including some beautiful waterfalls, native Bunong villages and explore the city itself. We enjoyed eating at the Hefalump Cafe, the Bunong Kitchen and Mondulk-Italy Italian restaurant. The best food we had in all of Cambodia however was at the Elephant Valley Project where a full buffet of delectable selections for all types of diets, was put out at breakfast, lunch and dinner. More than anything else in Cambodia, I recommend a 2-night stay at EVP. Book in advance as it's the most popular and most ethical elephant interaction "attraction" in all of Cambodia. Enjoy!

I loved that the temperatures were cooler in Senmonorom than in other areas of Cambodia. Everyone I met was super nice. I spent most of my time at Elephant Valley Project, so I didn't get to explore the town as much though.

Go to the Elephant Valley Project, it was one of the best experiences of my life, and not to be missed! I learnrt so much about elephants, and it was wonderful to see how well they are cared for, and hear their life stories. Would recommend the 3 day option.
Eat at the Russian Restaurant, food was excellent (especially the dumplings and shawarmer) and staff were super friendly :-) They did take-away for us to for the long bus ride home.
* Ephalum café - nice for fair trade shopping, yummy food and drinks and eco friendly tours
* Visit the elephant but do thorough research to avoid negatively impacting the local communities and the nature and animals. I highly recommend the Elephant Valley Project (EVP). It is more expensive but it is because they reinvest the money for the well-being of the elephant, and try to assist the local communities as much as possible.
* Bu Sra waterfalls - try using eco tourism agencies (but do your research to be sure that the agency is really eco-friendly.
This place was amazing, the bungalows are very clean and beautiful from inside and outside. The is a beautiful garden and swimming pool, also a fire place 😁.
It also has a restaurant inside the property, and the pizza is very tasty.
The staff are very friendly, they treated me like family.
You can book amazing tours from there very cheaply like full-day jungle with the elephants, trekking to waterfalls in the jungle ....
The location is near to everything and very quiet.
It's really one of my favorite locations in cambodia
Manel is truly the nicest person I have met in Mondulkiri. We had an awful taxi who proceeded to get us very lost and Manel not only redirected him, but stayed awake to make sure we reached there safely. He arranged our tour and tuk tuks all over. We had a lovely Christmas Eve and day with him. He even arranged for our bus to Siem Reap. Truly the kindest and most welcoming person. If you stay anywhere stay here.
Avocado guesthouse is in walking distance to the local market and the centre of the little town. Parking space available in front of the house. In times of Covid only a few guesthouses are still open. Not much choice in Sen Monorom. So I was happy that Avocado guesthouse still had its doors open. And the price is okay.
The small houses are located on the outskirts of the city, in a very quiet aera with a superb view of the forest. The family and the children are very nice. The food is also very good. A perfect place to stay in Sen Monorom to explore Mondulkiri province 🌳🐘
Very basic clean room. The hotel is owned by an Italian guy. The food was excellent and had Italian and American style food with a selection of wine and beer. An unexpected find in a remote town. Location is nice, you can walk into town
the hotel is just off the main part of town, so not too noisy. It is a slice of Italy, with a great owner and excellent Italian food and wine. Andrea and his staff were wonderful, we enjoyed conversation, and talking with other guests.
The room was brand new, super clean and so comfortable. The staff were great and I rented a scooter which meant the location worked well. There are beautiful sunsets you can watch from the dirt road up to the hotel.
Fantastic hotel, very quiet, tranquillity assured . Fabulous big pool, manager has very good English and a great sense of humour, ,food and beds also great
Thoroughly recommended this hotel for Mondulkiri
Raiya and family made my stay comfortable.
They are really kind persons.
The kids also welcomed me with warm smile.
This is my second visit to Sen Monorom.
I will stay at this place if I come here again.
the hotel is very nice and very comforable and very new the
age 2 month only
the staff and location and cleanliness is amazing the swiming pool inside the villa is very clean and very cofortable
It was a quiet, family owned business. The food was the best I’ve had in Cambodia and Manel himself had such a great attitude, going out of his way to help us and even gave us a cooking lesson!
The staff is amazing and very helpful !!! They will help you for everything and give you good information .
The Italian food at the restaurant is the best I had in Cambodia
A comfortable hotel. Feel like a safe have a ways from the buzz of the city, beautiful garden and pool good food the restaurant, excellent and friendly service
The host is great, very helpful, always up for a joke. The food was delicious, so we basically always ate at the guesthouse during our stay in Sen Monorom.
