Beautiful location close to the old town- 10min walk. Great views and kind staff. Room is quiet and breakfast was great. You can have spritz on the terrace with a magnificent view. The pool is freezing and being oct perhaps the maintenance people went home for the season .

This is a first class destination resort that has everything when could want. It felt a little formal and her and the people at the desk seemed overworked. But the most amazing thing happened when we ask directions to a gas station, an employee who was not on his working shift, told us to follow him, he would take us all the way to this gas station! Wow, we were amazed!
But! That’s not all. When we left, my husband forgot to put his credit card away, and they notified us several hours later, as soon as it was found. We asked them to destroy it which they did, and there were no charges made on that card. We were amazed and reassured!

This was my second visit, as my son’s family live there.
This was my second visit, as my son’s family live there. It’s a charming small town in a gorgeous setting. Each June, they celebrate the Festival of Barbarossa and dramatize historic events from the 12th century. Elisa is a super host. Breakfast was great! Fresh squeezed orange juice, fruits, hot croissants, eggs, cheeses, prosciutto, much more than a continental breakfast! The rooms are wonderful! The location in San Quirico d'Orcia is wonderful, both because it is walkable to the old town, and because it is walkable to some lovely trails that connect San Quirico to Bagno Vignoni. The breakfast is pretty good, and includes some fruit, hard-boiled eggs ,and a pastry or two. A coffee machine in the breakfast area produces acceptable cappucinos and other coffees. The apartment is beautiful, clean, smells amazing. It is well equipped with everything you could need and is light and airy. It was also nice to actually be met by the host rather than using a keystore. Gemma was able to give us some great advice as to places to visit. Next time we are in Italy we will certainly return to Dimora del Poggio.
