Ravello is on top of the mountain and not a seaside town...
Ravello is on top of the mountain and not a seaside town like other Amalfi coast towns. There is a nice charm in the town itself. For those that don't rent a car, there is a bus that takes you to Amalfi. There are also paths that take you to Minori and Amalfi, just remember that the elevation of Ravello is at 1000ft, so walking to the other towns will require a walk back up the mountain or the use of a bus or taxi.

There are stairs everywhere, but I knew this. Two beautiful gardens to visit. You need to be fit to stay in Ravello. There are walks around the hills. Good restaurants and a very good small supermarket/deli

Ravello is all about the views, which are incredible.
Ravello is all about the views, which are incredible. The town itself is small but there are a handful of great restaurants and shops to see. If you are looking to get away from the crowds of Positano and Amalfi, this is the place.

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. When the day-tourists arrive it becomes a bit crowded. In general it is a tourist place. Souvenir shops with overpriced ceramics and other useless items. There are some nice restaurants.
It is very difficult to get to and from Ravello with public transportation. Taxis in Amalfi charged 100 euro to go to Ravello, pure robbery. The bus takes 1½ hours from Amalfi and doesn't go often. You can walk down to Minori and Amalfi. Takes 45-60 minutes depending on fitness level. Walking up is also possible, but quite hard for the average person.

Villa Barluzzi is located close to the square with amazing views, stunning grounds and beautiful rooms. More like a bed and breakfast, Salvatore the manager is the absolute best! He contacted us before we arrived to give some details and welcome us, took the information of our car service and was in touch with the driver while we were on route. He saw that we had everything we could possibly need. Showed us around the Villa property, brought us up to the square, to show us around and just made us feel like family. I highly recommend this beautiful place! We can’t wait to return and will definitely be staying here again.

This hotel was fantastic. The family that runs it are super nice and helpful. the views from everywhere in the hotel are amazing including from your own private balcony. Location was great, right by the bus stop. As well as short walk into Ravello square. Restaurant was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here. Breakfast included that was very good. Nothing but fantastic things to say about the hotel and family that runs it. Don’t stay anywhere else for
We loved our stay. The Villa Maria met or exceeded expectations. Ideal setup because you have a holy sh&t view at the outdoor dining area for bfast and dinner, and the amazing pool at their sister property just down the road. For those looking for a great stay in Ravello but who don’t want to pay the prices of the Belmond or Avino, this is a great find. Aldo, the restaurant manager, is amazing…make sure to inquire about the hotel’s spectacular wine selection.
Excellent location with the famous Villa Cimbrone gardens as a part of our property. easy 6 minute walk to Ravello centre and also Villa Rufolo.
The staff were amazing and our room was upgraded without a request. We had incredible views of the sea as well the pool. The whole experience was soo relaxing and perfect to get away from the busy areas of the Amalfi coast.
Also had the best penne arabiatta in South of Italy!
The property was at walking distances from all the famous places of Ravello. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is made in an old fort kind of place which makes it even more romantic.Absolutely loved the place.
Sabina was the perfect host we could ever ask. She was super kind and helpful all the time. Definitely recommend this to everyone who plans a trip to Ravello.

Perfect...the location, the room, an absolutely stunning view.
Very clean, the staff extraordinary. Everything to see in Ravello is walkable from hotel and if you need a bus or a taxi to go somewhere, there are near the hotel. The view is spectacular from the restaurant too, and the breakfast is very consistent. Stay here and you will not regret it!
Hotel has a wonderful view of the coastline and surrounding towns. The room was newly renovated and was spotlessly clean. Great air conditioning. Free parking on site. Short walk up some stairs to the center of Ravello.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection at breakfast of cold options.
Great terrace perfect for a sunset drink
We stayed here for a wedding at Hotel Caruso. The location is absolutely perfect: less than a minute walk away. The villa itself is absolutely fantastic; The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. But the best thing about it is the huge open plan dining area on the lower floor and the massive private outdoor terrace. It was perfect!
This property is literally OVER THE TOP… Of both breathtaking views and rolling waves. The property itself is situated at the bottom of the town of Ravello just above the Salerno Bay. You get the best of both the incredible views of twinkling lights of Ravello, Minori and Maori and being able to jump into the refreshing ocean.
The location was so beautiful perched on the cliff and seaside! Beautiful views and the staff were honestly the best part- so helpful and friendly, above & beyond. I will for sure revisit this spot as well as let all my friends and family know if they visit Italy- they MUST come stay here and appreciate the beauty.
Best stay in all of Italy. The hotel was so clean, staff so wonderful and service outstanding. We wish the rest of Italy was the same as this jewel
The family even offered free transfer to and from dinner in Scala, the bed and the room was stunning. Quiet comfortable and just heaven
This place was adorable, and everything I needed for a 5 day stay in Ravello! I was traveling for a wedding at Villa Eva and this place was literally steps away! The host was kind and accommodating and the apartment itself was clean, spacious and delightful. Highly recommend.
This was probably one of the best places we stayed in during our 3 week stay in Italy . Danielle is a great and responsive host who can assist with almost anything . The apartment was spotlessly clean, well located had an outstanding view .
The staff especially Laura was friendly, accommodating, and awesome at what she does. Love the architecture of the hotel and the amazing view of Ravello on both sides. Love that they have breakfast at their terrace upstairs.
the property is picturesque! it feels
like you’ve stepped into an Italian fairytale. the views are phenomenal, the gardens are magical and the breakfast was the best we had our entire trip to Italy.
The location is great, very clean and modern with a great view. The hosts were amazing, very friendly and helpful with everything. The breakfast was the best we've had in Italy. Great experience.
Ravello Inn is in the best location in Ravello. In front of the piazza where people sit during the day for coffee or meals. The ambience is wonderful. Near to every attraction and shopping areas.
It was a pleasure to discover Ravello at la Moresca. The hotel is perfectly located. Anna was very kind and welcoming and it was a pleasure to meet her.
