Passo del Tonalle surprised me with its variety and diversity of downhill tracks. At the time of our stay there was little snow, but the slopes were perfectly groomed, so the quality of skiing did not decrease. There is no shortage of opportunities for cross country skiing and walking.

Very good place for ski vacation especially for teaching your kids how to ski.
Don’t miss the Passo Persena view and if you are a good skier the black slopes there are really great.
Ponte di Legno access is very easy and provide several options to extend the ski options.

Have been to Passo Del Tonale 4 times: allshort breaks and mainly because of great value.
Small but huge value ski area.
Great for mixed-ability groups or for beginners (advanced folks will have the whole area skied in a day or two).
Great for a short break.
Easy access via Bergamo airport.

Be prepared for building and maintenance activity during the summer - this is a ski resort, and they have to work sometime!
Thursday is market day, this is probably a good thing.
We only ate at the hotel, but there seemed to be a fair variety of other choices.
Parking was easy!

For intermediate skiers looking for a chilled few days carving some wide pistes this is an option to consider and is pretty good value. Looks snow sure and some of the off piste tracks looked fun but probably not for the truly adventurous or expert skiers.

Really nice and modern hotel, with a very helpful staff. Tech oriented rooms with all the facilities, great views of the mountains, really good breakfast with nice choices of a la carte dishes as well (eggs, omelettes etc). The nice lady at the reception took the time to patiently explain to us the things to do around the area, gave us really good recommendations (the cable car up to the 3000 meter peak is a must), and showed us around the hotel herself, making sure we got all the information we needed.
It met our basic requirements of amenities and we were happy to find there was ski storage on the ground floor. Fair kitchen, though could do with a toaster. The WiFi was also decent but couldn’t get tv to work. General amount of space and comfort was good.
Once we’d got over the language barrier with the caretaker, she was sweet and fussed over our youngest. She basically gives the keys, then we relied on the owner over phone messages to address any issues.
Apartment is ideal for a ski weekend. Very good and kind host, everything was as agreed. Apartment is cosy and has good heating, it has everything that you need. It is not located very far from the ski lift so you can go both by foot or wait for ski bus. It is located rigth next to the grocery store which is very convenient when you are tired from skiing.
This is a very cute family hotel, with excellent and helpful hosts, and its location is among the best in passo tonale.
The rooms are spacious enough. Our rooms were renovated 3 years ago, and the beds are comfortable (although a bit narrow).
breakfast is similar to other Italian hotels in this price range.
We had a great stay at hotel Orchidea. The staff were friendly and helpful. The half board plan was great with a lovely 3 course dinner and wonderful breakfast spread. Close to the lift for skiing. Clean, comfortable and a great value. Would stay again.
The location is excellent , right on the main street, with enough parking spaces and very close to the ski slopes, shops and restaurants. The room was small , but warm and very clean. The hotel have an heated ski locker, with comfortable access.
The reception staff at the hotel were friendly, the suite was large with a great view of the pistes and a great jacuzzi bath. The access to the pistes was excellent - we just had to cross the road. The spa had a nice Turkish bath and sauna.
Well equipped apartment in old apartment house (fridge, 2-places cooker, microwave, dishes and cutlery, large table, TV). Ski box available (but modern facility to dry ski shoes is missing). Keys collected from PIN-protected key box anytime.
We arrived early and they allowed us to store our ski bag. They have a ski room with a boot drying rack which is amazing. The rooms are well heated which was nice since it was cold outside. The staff are very friendly
Another hotel on our cycling route across the alps. They had a ski/bike room. Breakfast was very sweet and nice. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed. But they could recommend a good alternative close by.
Food was great, with lots of variety and interesting local cuisine. Staff were friendly and competent. Sauna was clean and not overcrowded. Room was spacious and well kept. Hotel was intimate and warm.
The physical appearance of the room was nice, the view out the window was good, and the location near ski lifts is nice. Also cleaning service was good with fresh towels and linens daily.
the person who met us on arrival , was very useful and very kind. he helped us to find the hotel and to get our stuff to the hotel As there is no direct access to it.
The host was very responsive, communication was always smooth and easy. Good location - walking distance from the ski lifts. No issues with parking space nearby.
Simple, but clean and had everything we needed for a short ski trip. Ski storage room is available on the ground floor. The view from the apartment is nice.
Location of the apartment is great and placed 2 minutes walk from the slopes and the ski store.
Really nice and clean big rooms with everything you need.
