The generosity of spirit of the owner, Fortunella, who took care of all my needs. I arrived late and she showed me to an excellent restaurant, telling the proprietor to look after me (!) and recommended a fabulous bar (for breakfast). The private beach side location and the beach bar for cocktails at sunset were a little bit of paradise. The hotel was always clean and staff were professional, friendly and helpful. It was great to have your own subbed allocated for your stay. We enjoyed the on-site Michelin * restaurant, Pietremare, where service was excellent and the food very good. The poolside restaurant was also good for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the option of massages on site.
Villa Aurora is near the sea in Isola di Capo Rizzuto. The hotel is near the old fort. It provides its own diving centre and tours of the Marine Protected Area.
