We stayed for a week. the apartment was simple but very clean. We came looking for sun, beach and quiet and we certainly found all three. the sunsets were spectacular and the sea was clean, warm and and the beach wide and mostly deserted. There are two similarly priced restaurants within walking distance from the apartment. We ate excellent food in both, including a local fish called Leppo and calamari and the best homemade fries and curry. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We took a local tuk-tuk to go to the market and it was fun and safe. A perfect escape!AnaSpain - 10Scored 10

Cancabcona is a small town, so it is best to keep your expectations accordingly. Apart from Palolem beach which is the biggest highlight of this place, you can go inside and visit places like Mallikarjuna Temple, a trip to Monkey Island, or boat ride to Butterfly island etc. Food on the beach was good but was not authentic goan. You can get a better price and more authentic food away from the beach towards the internal areas. The beach has become too crowded.
The beach has become too crowded. With the rising water levels shacks are built too close to the sea. I couldn't access my hotel from the beach at high tide/night. They need to ban straws in all shacks.

Host Naveen was helpful with everything. Being a fisherman's village you can talk and experience their day to day lives also everyone here is super friendly. Enjoyed staying here and will definitely recommend everyone coming to South Goa to visit this place.. ps. Visit Ashok hotel for best food..sagarAustralia

I was here for 15 days and wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely return to this little Paradise. Thank you so much guys.

Food in restaurant is very good. It was my fourth time in Goa. This place I can recommend at any time. Palolem Beach is not a party place, so it is perfect for everybody who like just to enjoy and relax. The beach is extremly clean, no waste at all.
