Staff was absolutely amazing, they were caring, attencious and sincere. The hotel itself is a gem, its an older hotel but delivers a lot for its two stars. A lot of croatian families were there, atmosphere was very nice and cool. It is not a five star hotel or pretends to be it, but serves good food and lodgind for a fair price in a very nice location. So I have to reccomend it!

Great concept with the villas/bunkies. We liked the proximity to town for a walk and everything was close at the resort

The location is wonderful with ocean and pool swimming. The buffet restaurant has an amazing variety. Room is perfect, staff is great! Wish I could have stayed longer.
Hotel Hvar is located on the island of Hvar in the small picturesque town of Jelsa on a wooded hill, sloping to the shoreline, with panoramic sea views from the rooms, restaurant and lounge bar.

Wonderful Jugoslavia-style hotel: spacious with gorgeous views, beach and nature surroundings (minutes walk to a lovely Jelsa), loved it! The atmosphere is laid-back, staff friendly and accommodating, you feel free and unconstrained, and facilities are amazing (tennis, bar, swimming pool, promenade), with a special bonus (if you have kids, it's a blast), a mini-club where you can leave you kids 4h over day under the watch of a super nice lady and enjoy your time off:)) As said, this is a vintage Jugoslavija-style hotel, kind of resort you find rarely anywhere on the coast, rooms are very simple but compensated with remarkably generous and well-kept hotel facilities and surroundings. And for the price, it's far more you could ever get in some other very modern but confined space.
Nice place for families woth small children. Small village, mostly tourist houses. Nice beach, everything walking distance. Very quiet, only one restaurant, one shop (a bit to small, to get everything one would need) and few bars. I suggest you try the local vine, sold next to the supermarket. At the end of August the is a fishermen festival, where you can taste fish and other sea food.
ATTENTION: The road from Jelsa to Ivan Dolac is very narrow and curvy, some sections are a bit unpleasant. It didn't bother us, but if you are not used to drive on such roads, then it might be very stressful for you (you will need to take the road it least a few times, since there is only a small shop and one reastaurant in Ivan Dolac, for the rest you need to go to Jelsa or elsewhere). Furthermore, there is a narrow and low tunnel on the road, which is impossible to drive though with a van.

Ivan Dolac is beautiful village with lots of beaches and unscathed nature. It is ideal for family vacation, romantic getaway or for nature lovers and hiking.Only downside is that there are no shops and bars working in October.

Small village, adequate for people who likes peacefull vacations. Not much funny atractions, but a lot of nature and crystal clean sea. There is one good reastaurant in the village (near the sea), excelent pizzas. They don't accept credit cards. There is also one small market, but you can get everything you need there (you can pay with a credit card). To reach the Ivan Dolac you have to drive through small and narrow tunnel. Pretty scary but there is a traffic light, so you don't need to panic.
