Lots of tavernas and bars both on the harbour and in the town. There are several small supermarkets which stock a big variety, but don't think Waitrose. We liked the Tropicana platanos taverna, the seahorse hotel (to eat) and the bakery. On the negative side you will leave Molivos fitter than when you arrived. Mithimna is a really picturesque place which has retained its traditional character. There are spectacular views. The castle is well worth visiting. You can enjoy walking through the narrow streets and feeling is if you are in another time and place. Even in late October it is possible to bathe and there were a few restaurants and cafes open. There are many restaurants in the small harbour serving fresh fish and seafood.MaryGreece

Keep in mind that this is a modest boutique place, not a 5-star hotel. That said: Very close to the center. Clean, decent rooms, limited but good breakfast. The owner is very nice. Make sure she makes a reservation for you at the famous Octopus Restaurant so that you get a nice table to enjoy a fantastic meal. I would stay in Villa Iris again without a doubt.
