The best feature what Chloe, the best hotelier I have ever met. We got in late, and she sorted us out expertly, and was more welcoming than I have ever experienced before. I would go back just to see her again!

The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The hotel is 4 star, however the staff there are a lot better than some of the 5 star hotels. I would like to specially thank Cameron, with his very professional and warm manner for serving.

The Barn Owl is the best hotel, we had on our trip through the UK. Located at the border to Dartmoor, a gently refurbished inn, a quiet garden, enough parking spaces, a excellent kitchen with freshly made food and extraordinary well cooked vegetables. The breakfast was extraordinary, too. And the owner and the staff were very pleasant.
Wenn we come back to this part of UK, we will stay here again.

Live and Let Live rooms were nice but the second bed was not set up on our arrival (with 2 sleeping children, 10pm at night), and there was no bedding ready. The member of staff who greeted us said that he did not know how to make the bed and if there was no bedding ready there wasn't anything that he could do. We found some bedding in one of the cupboards and had to make the bed ourselves.
The breakfast available was incredibly basic, served by a lovely man but who was not familiar with the process at all.
Overall very disappointing service for the amount paid
