We stayed in Woodbridge to visit Sutton Hoo. We had a great visit and found more we wish to visit in the area. We will come back to explore some more and stay at the Cherry Tree again.

We very much enjoyed our visit to this lovely town with all its independent shops and lovely nostalgic 'village' feel- such relief from the endless "Shopping Centres' with their bland offerings. There is a great selection of places to eat and the thriving Riverside Theatre/Cinema where we saw an arthouse film. We walked the River Deben: to see the Longship Project and excellent FREE Museum, then on for a day out at fascinating Sutton Hoo. Buses were a welcome surprise with easy trips to Aldeburgh and beyond. Friendly and sociable little market town. Lovely walks with a good comfortable vibe even at night, felt safe. So many nice places to stop and sit and people smile which is a good indicator of the warm feel you get being there. Our room was very clean and comfortable and extra pillows were provided upon request. The close proximity to the town centre meant that Christmas shopping was easy as our bags could be taken back to our room. The 1530 restaurant was also excellent , with very delicous , fresh food for both our evening meal and breakfast. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful , which made our stay very enjoyable . We will definitely return ourselves as well as recommend to friends and family .

The rooms are regularly refurbished and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have all the facilities you would expect. We particularly appreciated the fan in this summer's heatwaves. There was plenty of choice for breakfast.
