A very good traditional hotel serving a good breakfast. Staff were very helpful- the bed had a (lovely) goosedown duvet, but I am allergic to feathers. A replacement was found very quickly and without fuss. This doesn't happen everywhere! Also very good book-in, the receptionist found our details and gave us the keys very quickly-again this doesn't always happen.
There are pleasant walks down to the river and around the town centre.

Booked Garden rooms, lovely and quiet as opposed to road noise from front.. Friendly helpful staff, really clean comfy rooms.. And the food was AWESOME. Had dinner both nights, fabulous steak, then chicken supreme with chorizo and marbled cream basil sauce, which was sensational (My sincere compliments Chef!!)
